![]() Author has written 3 stories for Labyrinth, and Dragon Age. When I turned 30 I decided I needed to make some changes in my life. One of which is being braver about my writing and not backing away from a challenge - which means actually posting the fan fiction I write not just leaving it mouldering away in the depths of my hard drive. I write fan fiction for Torchwood, Zelda, Shadow Hearts and Buffy. I'm also trying to write my first novel in between work, fan-fiction and a serious obsession with video games (which usually wins). I am a cynic by nature but a romantic by inclination, which tends to make my writing rather strange :) I am also the downtrodden slave to a thoroughly spoilt Ragdoll cat... who excels at looking cute, squeaking adorably and enjoys sitting on my head at 2am I'm currently working on my Dragon Age: Origins story The Truth Beneath the Rose - a slightly skewed retelling of the human noble origin where the heroine may be human but she's not the noble everyone thinks she is. Poor Ceri, bad enough to be saddled with an archaic name in the 21st Century but to get stuck in a medival world where you have to kill to survive was just not fair. What can I say? I like challenging my characters (and playing fast and loose with the gorgeous sand-box Bioware gave us for Christmas last year) Updates will be slow going at the moment as I'm now on my third computer in 5 months - I seem to be able to pick the defective model/brand without even trying - which means yet again I get to reconstruct all my stories, pull music off a hard drive or discs, persuade the music program that, yes it does want to play these files... really... and re-install Dragon Age for the umpteenth time... only to find that I'm going into the Landsmeet and I can't for the life of me remember how I managed to get everyone to vote for me last time (Warden 8, Loghain 1 - take that Mr Grumpy-Pants!) |
