Captain John Watson is a soldier in Afghanistan. Sherlock Holmes has just been admitted to a drug rehab facility, assigned to write a letter to an unknown soldier. He doesn't expect to get a letter back from someone as interesting as John. John doesn't expect to get letter from a recovering drug addict. Together they form an unlikely friendship through letters. Johnlock. Part 1.

On the few times that John actually notices Sherlock's humanity, it gives him a sense of being refreshed. Sherlock's only human. It's nice to see. Series of oneshots highlighting Sherlock's emotions, because we all know that he has them. Rated M: Chapter Seventy-Four for swearing and mentions of drug use; it's skippable. It was a ring worn on his third finger, the metal band looking heavy and cold against the delicate digit which bore the adornment's moniker-the ring finger, a place reserved for this mark of fidelity long since standing in forgotten tradition. And John Watson, for the life of him, could not remember when first his best friend wore it.

Little does he know that the Devil awaits them in a sleepy seaside village - An update of 'The Devil's Foot' which contains one of the most notorious Holmes/Watson moments in the ACD canon. To stop a blackmailer, Sherlock Holmes decides to enter unfamiliar territory. But not before practicing on John Watson.

All John wanted to do was have a cup of tea and wait out the snowstorm. However, he ends up locked in a walk-in freezer with none other than Sherlock Holmes. Oh, and it's cold. So cold. It couldn't get worse. Except for the little fact that their mobiles have no signal. Except for that.

Harry Watson isn't keen on Sherlock Holmes, and Sherlock's not that wild about Harry. It's possible that John may rue the day when he helped them find common ground. Set after Sherlock's return and assumes a resumption of a relationship between Sherlock and John.

Sherlock throws knives during a domestic and brings home dead rats. John has nightmares and can't sleep. Together they investigate what John's calling "The Old Man and the Weasel." Sherlock steals evidence. Lestrade threatens to cut him off murder cases unless he gives it back. Faced with a severe blow to The Work, Sherlock grits his teeth and offers a compromise: he'll tell Lestrade why he stole each and every piece of evidence, and Lestrade can then decide if he gets to keep it.
