1) No Mary Sues, Gary Stus, clones of canon characters, or District hoppers.

2) I may tweak tributes as I see fit, but I won’t do anything drastic.

3) Careers aside, average training score is a 5. Only a few outer district tributes will earn a 7 or above. Generally speaking, just be realistic when considering stuff like this.

4) Diversity in backstory, race, skills, sexuality, etc.! There’s no fun in writing twenty-four orphaned white kids with no weaknesses. Password is bumblebee. Make your tribute unique with an individual set of strengths and weaknesses.

5) Short paragraphs for Personality and Backstory. Definitely don’t just list a bunch of words, but no novels either. 3-8 sentences should suffice.

6) Submit your form by PM. You can submit up to 4 tributes.

7) No mass-submitted tributes, but your tribute was in a discontinued SYOT go ahead and submit.

8) No filler tributes either, you can submit bloodbaths but make them interesting.

9) Not so much a rule, but the Reapings will be written from the perspective of a Capitol citizen watching them on television. Backstories and home lives will be told through flashbacks, since writing Reapings is the bane of my existence as a writer.
