I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I AM A SAM WINCHESTER GIRL!

Now, I know what you're all thinking. If you know who Sam is, what the hell is she thinking? Dean's a better character, hotter, sexier, stronger, more human. WRONG! Sam's exactly the same, just a little bit rougher around the edges, more dark to Dean's light. And seriously, who could resist that hair? But I digress. Every single decision Sam has made, was made because he thought he was doing the right thing. Drinking demon blood? Figured it was worth killing all the demons he could or exorcising them back to Hell while damning himself in the process cause he figured, if I have these powers, why the hell not use them against the enemy? Why not drag as many sons of bitches I can down with me? Sam figured he was damned anyway, with demon blood. He had nothing left to loose.

Can Dean say the same? Sure, he went to hell for Sam, brought his brother back from the dead, but wasn't that more than a little bit selfish of him? And since season 4, Dean hasn't treated Sam as if he was his life, like he did through seasons 1-3. He didn't listen, he didn't talk, he wasn't the same. Sure, I can understand why, but seriously, you don't just ignore family. Family is forever.

First, he tells Sam that if he left that motel room before killing Lilith, to never come back. The exact same words their father said to the younger of the two. Of course Sam is going to think that fake phone message is real after everything was said! Instead of trying to figure out why his brother killed Lilith, breaking the final seal, asking if Sam had gotten his phone message, Dean ignores him. Let's not forget who broke the first seal, but Sam never held that against Dean!

Then he has the infinite wisdom of telling his already depressed brother that he didn't trust him. If that didn't shatter Sam, I don't know what would. Being told by your childhood hero, best friend, and above all else; brother, that he didn't trust you would break apart whatever hope you had left after everything that had happened.

When Dean went to Purgatory, Sam didn't look for Dean because he had no idea where to start! If your brother vanishes into thin air, with an angel and a leviathan, would your first thought be, 'Ah, hell. Their in Purgatory!'? Yeah... no. With Benny, Sam is only seeing himself and Amy. Who Dean killed. Yeah, kinda a hypocrite there, don't you think? But again, I digress.

I'm not saying that Sam is innocent in all of this, hell, a lot of it is his fault. But what I am saying is that at least he tried to make what he made wrong, right. Neither of these two characters are sparkly clean, neither is light or dark. They're both gray, and they're both to be blamed and to be praised for what they have done. You can't expect them to be the same throughout the series, not with what they do.

Sure, both brother's have made mistakes, but who hasn't? They're both human, even if they are TV characters and a characters mistakes shouldn't decide how you feel about him or her. It's how the person deals with said mistakes and tries to gain redemption. Sam might've released Lucifer, but he made the ultimate sacrifice by jumping into the Pit of Hell with Lucifer in tow. Tortured by the Ruler of Hell and his brother who is just as bad. I think the guy's allowed to have some issues. But even through all of this, he retains much of the same personality we saw in seasons 1&2, an individual who gives more than a damn about the people around him to continue hunting and protecting them. If that doesn't earn someone's respect, I don't know what would.

And still after all of this, after everything, Sam still trusts Dean. If that doesn't say something, nothing else will.

Myself, along with many, have been writing and posting on your fine site for years now, some of the better examples of up and coming writers out there are now suddenly finding some of the stories we've come to love at risk of being removed without the chance to even rectify our errors.

For some, that means the permanent loss of a story. While I don't have anything that I believe violates your terms of use, there are those out there that are never able to recover a story in its original form, this is something I find to be almost worthy of a legal action, as while we cannot claim ownership of a character, the stories are OURS and simply destroying them is something that is inexcusable.

It's quite easy to simply add an MA rating, additional filters or even a simple requirement for a free membership to read the stories presented here, and would cut down on hateful anonymous reviews and posts at the same time, so I have to question as to why such a thing, in all this time, simply wasn't added.

If you're worried about falsification of a registration then have an appropriate disclaimer and then there can be no dispute, you took your steps and the PARENTS didn't monitor their children, if that is even your concern. If it is more of a personal view or desire then please at least let people know and give them a chance to remove a story that you and yours find offensive, most people on the site are actually rather cordial when it comes to such requests.

While I cannot say for sure if this letter will even reach those that may be willing to listen, of if it's more akin to a wide spectrum purge in preparation for something bigger, please understand that you are going to be looseing a LARGE number of your writers, and thus your income from a lack of readers if there is not some level of action taken to help with this situation.

For those that may agree with this, please feel free to sign on and send this to the support server, maybe we can get some movement on this.
