Ed and Al return from Dublith to find Resembool a battleground. Ed gets closer to the fighting, but when Al follows him, he is shot and killed. Ed tries to revive him and confronts the Truth, telling it he had so much more to say to Al. In accordance with this desire, the Truth takes his voice as the toll for his arrogance. Those first nights back in his flesh body were really cold and unreal for Alphonse...but Edward was never far away. Not for a moment.
