10: pacific rim. it isn't super strong with stories or characters, but if you want to see awesome robots pound the life out of giant monsters you can find action in pacific rim that micheal bays transformers will never achieve

9: lord of the rings the two towers. if you love epic fantasy this movie is for you, peter Jackson brings cinematic brilliance with jaw dropping effects, awesome characters, and if you have the patience then youll love this movie.

8: the original Robocop. if you love awesome shootouts, and gore then you will love Robocop. the story of a man on the brink of death who is turned into a bad* robot policeman is just too good.

7:paul. fun fact: I saw this movie 5 times in the theater, that is how good this film is. its funny, ill say that much. seth rogan plays the alien who is on the run from government men in black. and when two cross country nerds heading to comic con pick him up and agree to help him get home, hilarity ensues

6: planet of the apes: the original planet of the apes compared to the modern action films of the same name, were once amazing science fiction films. an, astronaut on a mission in a new spacecraft crash lands on an alien planet inhabited by intelligent apes, and the end has such a twist your mind will be blown.

5: star wars a new hope. this film is cinematically brilliant, if you don't know star wars shame on you. im not even going to say anything about this movie

4: the matrix. this movie is just awesome, no other way to put it. the story of how mankind has been living in a giant simulation is just a huge middle finger to your mind.

3: the terminator. this was the movie that skyrocketed Arnold Schwarzenegger's career in the story of a robot who travels back in time to 1984 to assassinate the mother of humanity's unborn savior

2: predator. this movie is home to one of the coolest villains ever conceived, the alien who hunts the most dangerous game, man

1: alien. this is one of the single greatest movies ever, not a thing wrong with it. the alien is terrifying, the cast a grade, and the effects are phenomenal
