Things that have happened in Hyrule are blocked memories that are lost in time. Day-to-day life is not as easy for Link as she would hope. With being the Princess' own Personal Knight, dealing with the loss of a friend, and all of Hyrule thinking she is a man, she has enough on her plate as it is. The Hero of Time, Link, is blessed by the Golden Goddesses with a normal existence, free for himself to rule over. He must learn the true meaning of life as he attempts to join Hylian society. Along the way, he finds a family to call his own. Protecting and loving them, as a new threat emerges, he grows to understand how he must still endure the challenges of fate.

No hero is born as one, and that is no different for a certain mute we all know and love. This is how a shy Goat Herder left her village. How two people who hated each other became friends. How a kingdom was saved by a cold darkness. And how destinies intertwined with one another. This is the Tale of a Legend. Bad summary is bad. T to be safe.

Link was born mute, but has attended public school since he was taught how to sign and write. He meets Zelda, who also knows sign language, and she agrees to translate for him. They form a close bond, and Link discovers that he has feelings for her. Modern Highschool AU Zelink (rewritten)

Link is having a hard time, with the tasks of being a knight, a loss of a friend, and all of Hyrule thinking she's a boy, she has a tough time balancing everything. But when old forces once again awaken, can she, along with old and new allies, defeat this new threat? Fem!Link.

Link is a young thief notorious in all Hyrule, but, when war threatens to break out, he is unwittingly thrust into the fray. Sent out to collect the three spiritual stones, Link pays a terrible price for his journey, the loss of his voice. When romance blossoms during his journey, will Link be able to protect the one he loves? Or die trying?

Book 2 in the Doppelganger Trilogy: Link and Zelda have been forced into exile. Usurpers control the throne of Hyrule masquerading as the Princess and General Link. With the minds of the people of Hyrule poisoned against him, how can a hero in chains save them?

Continues Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, ties into Twilight Princess. The wolf consumed Link after the events in "Twilight Princess." When visitors come to the wasteland the wolf has taken as home, his spirit is restored. He returns to Hyrule, a man, but with something of the wolf left in him stronger than ever.

1500 years ago, Ganon won. Unbeknownst to most of the population of Hyrule, the Demon still rules. Update: there is a sequel in progress to this story, called Moving On. Please check it out if you liked Hero!
