I'm a junior in high school, a future author, and prospective particle physicist. I love science, reading, and writing, and I love any and all combinations of the three. I've been writing since the age of six, and began actively trying to improve myself at age fourteen. Among other things, I am short and proud, prefer function over fashion, and happen to be a brunette. I'm a special type of accident prone and have the driest sense of humor I know of. I'm overly fond of Dad jokes. I have a fierce love of the Latin language, and I can transcribe in Ancient Greek, a skill that might seem useless but has actually helped in a variety of unusual situations, so go figure. I've dabbled in mythology for years, my current interest laying in Mesopotamian, Greco-Roman, and Celtic mythologies. Comics are a big fave of mine, my favorites being Legion of Superheroes and Teen Titans/The New Teen Titans. I love cephalopods, and I own five stuffed-animal octopods. Despite this apparent preference, my favorite animal is the cuttlefish. I love science fiction and science parodies. My favorite literary genres are, (shocker) science fiction and contemporary, maybe a bit of urban fantasy every once in a while. I don't favor romance all that much. I'm both a second generation Whovian and a second generation Texan. I haven't met a type of music I don't like yet, though I'll confess I have a definite preference for alternative/alternative rock/metal. I couldn't live without musicals. I love both frisbee and kayaking, but hardly get to spend anytime doing those things. Only child, dog-lover, and yes, nerd, are all apt descriptors.
