Greetings. I'm Scott, and I've been reading fan fiction for years.

A bit about me:

I enjoy the ocean (though sadly don't live near it), seafood, computers, and books. I hope to pursue a degree in Computer Science in the near future. Anything else you'd like to know, shoot me a PM.

Fic annoyances (specifically Harry Potter):

Super powerful Harry characters. No need for it, and, frankly, it's pointless to read...I already know the ending. Harry kills everything in his path, big boom, we all fall down, blah blah. I also imagine this would be tedious to write, since there are no surprises and no real thinking involved.

Retelling of canon. Why? Please, somebody tell me why this category of fic exists. If you stick to canon, again, reading it, and writing it, are two largely pointless ways to waste your time. I've read canon a thousand times already.

I don't particularly "hate" any parings, not even slash.

In my view, the more exotic the better. Currently I don't have anything written, but I hope that will change in due course.
