Takes place just after Kuvira claimed victory over Zaofu, and before citizens kneeled before her in the episode Battle of Zaofu. Kuvira must accomplish great things in this short amount of time, as the world had just changed forever.

Soon after the events of the Book 4 finale, Kuvira realizes the harsh reality she will have to face after her title of the Great Uniter is no more. In prison, she is seen as a war criminal, and treated as such. As a result of the abuse from guards and other inmates, Kuvira begins to hallucinate - the border of reality and her dark imagination becomes lifted.

Suyin Beifong, when her children were young, made a point each evening to read to them before tucking them in for the night. Takes place the night an eight-year-old Kuvira arrived in Zaofu.

Kuvira and Baatar reminisce about old times together, and they realize how turbulent their relationship has been through the years.
