Ave omnes!

I write fanfiction on mythological themes. I primarily use Greco-Roman mythology, particularly the stories from Ovid's Metamorphoses, and stories from the Near East, particularly from Sumerian and Babylonian sources. I do not interpret the myths in their original historical or mythological setting but represent them in the modern era as a magical realism genre. I believe this allows me to demonstrate through writing that mythical archetypes are relevant spiritually and psychologically to the times in which we live.

I am the author of two novels, Esther's Descent and The Christroach, both of which are available on Amazon Kindle.

Esther's Descent is a fanfiction rewriting of the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna's descent into the underworld to confront her sister Ereshkigal in the underworld and return to Heaven. However, I have placed the story in a modern world in the context of the Middle East. The heroine, Esther, is a young Israeli women who represents the archetype of the mythological Inanna (Ishtar) and goes on a Journey from the desert to Jaffa to confront her evil sister Laila (Ereshkigal).
