A cat will do anything to join him in the Dark Forest, even kill themself. Another cat is pregnant with his kits, and is terrified that the kits will receive his personality. Hawkfrost has done more than create turmoil while he was alive; he has left behind a legacy that will overpower the clans for many, many moons to come. ON HIATUS

In this forest, kits aren't allowed to play. Playing is a show of weakness and no clan wants weakness among them. If they do disobey this rule, they will be reported to their clan leader. Every Leaf-bare, there is a ceremony. All the kits will be marked as either Wanted or Unwanted. The Wanted kits receive their apprentice names. The Unwanted kits are sent to their deaths.

The Dark Forest declares revenge. As punishment, the Dark Forest forces the four Clans to send six cats every year for their annual Death Game, and only one winner is allowed.

The black-and white apprentice sat watching the happy family until his eyes slowly began to close. Just before he drifted off, a final thought struck his mind: What if Brightheart had died instead of me?
