![]() Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Twilight. Hey guys. I'm a 28 year old woman who lives near Memphis, Tennessee. I am slightly obsessed with Harry Potter. Oops. :) Anyway, I have been married going on nine years now and we have a gorgeous six year old daughter. I have all these HP ideas in my head, but getting them down on paper is kinda hard. I'm working on it. Seems like songs I hear on the radio just scream at me, "This is TOTALLY Hermione & Ron's song...or Harry & Ginny's" Obviously, my favorite pairings are R/Hr & H/G. I also am thinking of some ideas for Tonks...I like her with Remus but I also think Charlie is a good choice. I'll write as much as I can. Right now I'm just a housewife with too much time on my hands, but soon I'll be working...if someone would hire me! HA! So read my first story, Mountain Cabin, and PLEASE review. I love them, I'm not kidding, they make me all tingle like inside. I've retired (temporarily) my HP obsession for Twilight. Yes, Twilight. Give me some Emmett and everyone will be happy. Edward and Bella's love (looking past how crazy and stalkerish Edward seemed to be at first) is beautiful. I love the way they had to fight to be together and they WON! I have a new AU/AH Twilight story out. Two chapters so far. It's not awesome, but I like it, so I hope you will. OK, so I'm in a tight spot...new computer, doesn't have word. Can't write. I have no time...or inspiration at the moment. HOWEVER, I've been reading like crazy, so much that my husband may leave me if I don't quit drooling over stories...lol. I've come to the conclusion that even though some authors are amazing in their story-telling, simple spelling errors send their words into a spiral of uninterest. I would like to share a few words that are commonly misspelled or misused in grammar. I am not perfect, I mess up too. One or two in an entire story is fine, but when you can't spell the word right for the whole story, it irks me. their/they're...if the sentence can be read 'they are', then it's they're...other than that, it's their. EXAMPLE: We walked into their house. OR. They're going to be home soon. bare/bear...bare- naked. bear- animal. But when it's used in a sentence meaning to hold patience, it's bear. Bare with me is asking to be undressed together. EXAMPLE: Bear with me, I need a moment. waste/waist. The body part is waist. OR.Waste is garbage. EXAMPLE: He wrapped his arms around her waist. He took the waste out. brake/break...to brake something is to stop it. To break something is to have it shatter into pieces or to lose a hold of. EXAMPLE...I hit the brake and the car came to a top. OR. The cup fell from my hands resulting in it breaking into a pile of glass. OR I tried to break away from his hold on me. right/write. The opposite of left is right. When someone is not wrong, they are right. To put words down on paper is to write. EXAMPLE...I turned right on the street. I'm right, you're wrong. OR I like to write stories. your/you're...Ugh, this one kills me. You're is the combination of two words, you and are. SO if you can say that in the sentence, USE it. I hate when people write things like "Your welcome." or "Do you know where your going?" The word your is possessive. Your car. Your parents. Your state of mind. EXAMPLE..."I like what you've done to your room." OR "You're going to be late if you don't hurry." I have more, these are just some of the most common ones. :) |
