How Fanfiction net changed my view of pairings/ and my view on pairings in general {Update}

Because I had nothing better to do I decided to write about how FF.net changed my view on pairings dramatically.

I'll use Black Cat as an example.

When I first read Black Cat my fav pairings were Train/Rins , Train/Seph and Train/Eve and Train/ Kyoko Sephira/Sven .

When i found out that while Eve was around 13 and Train was nearly 23 then I stopped shipping them because it is very rare to find a shounen mangaka that lets pairings (If they even exist at all) exceed the 7 year age gap.

Before reading fanfictions i had already resigned myself to the fact that Jenos and Rinslet could and would probably be a couple though I feverishly hoped not. (No offence to JxR fans)

Fanfiction gave me hope when there was none. In fanfiction... I saw the light.

That anybody could read or write any pairings in your chosen show/movie/book/comic, ets, etc without (too much) constant ridicule. they could make their own story happen at a touch of their fingers unto the mouldy, old keys of their laptop/PC.

And because of that I would like to say thank you, to the person that made Fanfiction to be. (This is totally off topic, but I couldn't think of anything else *shrug*)

Something bizzare about me is that there are pairings i can't stand to read or hear about but i would have no hesitation writing a fic about them if it came down to it. (Maybe just a little) Copy an paste in your profile if you're the same.

My view on flaming

I would expect constructive criticism. No flames. Especially for pairings. (I don't write a lot of romance so I think I've got that covered.)

If any of my stories suck a lot then...just tell me. Tell me where I need to improve, because that's what I'm aiming to do on this site.

I'm sorry but i don't find it particularly helpful if you write down comments like 'Go Die!' or 'This is shiz!', I know a few people who do. But I, unfortunately, don't.

If you seriously feel like I need to discontinue a story then tell me. I'm not asking you to sugarcoat it (though it'd be nice if you did) or run around in circles; I just want an honest review without the added drama. Please.

My view on shippings

I take everyone's view on pairings seriously; that's why i try to refrain from using the word hate like many on this site use freely. I instead use things like 'less liked' and all that. I also find it unfair that if an extremely talented author ships an unpopular pairing like for instance: Jaggo/Smaggo and someone else supports a more popular pairing Diego/Sombrero, the latter thinks they have the right to flame the former's story. Like the very recent saying went: Don't judge a fic by it's pairings.

Though I guess i'm being a bit hypocritical in that area since there are some stories i wouldn't read because of the pairings; but i don't flame them so that's okay I guess.

must be the GINORMOUS age difference or mostly because when i first read the manga i thought of Sven as a side character thingy...nothing more.

Leon x Eve is okay i guess; i remember when i thought that too but now i get a tad queasy when i see it, but i'll still read it...sometimes...

I think people just put them together because of the similar ages or people think they are ahem, 'compatible', not because they had any interest in each other. (Hey! Like every other pairing in this site! * Just realises*)

Baldor X Kranz -I don't even wanna talk about it, too much agony for me to bear. (Sorry, but that kind of Yaoi is not my fort so to speak)

Let's just say i view as close comrades and friends, nothing more. (I know some people love this pairing and I'm not bashing it, I'm just saying it's not for me.)

Fanta x Seho I think just destroys the whole plot of the story, sorry.

Black Cat: Black Cat Prequel

I'm thinking of writing a story that revolves around Train's experience with his mom and dad.

I'm also thinking of putting extra characters like aunts, relatives, etc, etc.

The anime or Manga didn't really tell us what he was like as a child, we don't know if he was a brat or an angel (Though i have a strong suspicion of the former)
