Author has written 3 stories for Game of Thrones, and Hobbit. This is my first time posting any of my scribblings online and I am happily surprised by the amount of positive feedback I have been receiving. I chose to write a story about Tywin Lannister for many reasons. First, there doesn't seem to be that much fanfiction written involving him in a realistic way and I wanted to try and change that. In the TV series as well as in the books, Tywin has been one of the most interesting characters to me mainly because very little is actually known about him and we never get a first person POV chapter for any real insight into his thoughts. I am drawn to the painful world of hard decisions and loneliness he must live in to do what he feels must be done. In writing Lady Ailyn's character, I wanted to give him someone he could interact with who would cause him to question his preconceived notions about women and perhaps ultimately, share some of his burdens with her. In seeing where this story plays out, I hope to remain true to Tywin's character as much as possible while still feeding my own addiction. |
