I got started reading fan fiction when my good friend Lil sent me her first of Sookie and Eric. I'd already read all the current SVM books so reading her story was like a breath of fresh air. After, as is my habit, editing as I was reading her draft, I became her beta. Since then we've worked on all her stories together. I help her with her road blocks and just recently asked her to beta for me on my very first attempt at writing fan fiction.

I say "as is my habit" because I'm a graduate student working on my degree in Accounting. You wouldn't think there were a lot of papers to write for Accounting but let me tell you that I write more papers than figure out financial dilemmas in any given class. I have grown accustomed to editing my paper a few times before submitting for grading. I'm a nerd, what can I say. Reading through some of fan fiction, like S. Meadows and Konfetti, I've grown to love the fan version as much as I love the original.
