Caroline isn't exactly thrilled when she wakes up on a plane half way to Italy with Klaus. Despite her anger, she decides to make the best of it. How often is she in Italy after all? Back in Mystic Falls the race for the cure is on, but at what cost?

For seven years, Klaus feels the need to go back to Mystic Falls and doesn't know why. Deciding that he couldn't take it anymore he goes back to find answers, but instead he uncovers that the solution to his problem is when he meets a little seven year old girl named Caroline. He finds out that she is his light, his hope, his love, and his one true mate.
