Author has written 3 stories for Bones, and NCIS. I haven't actually update this thing in awhile and since I'm not really in the mood to do my reading for my Progressive Era class, I figured I'd update. I'm a graduate student studing applied history (basically that's any applications of history--archives, museums, historic preservation, etc). Most of the time it's pretty interesting, but there are definitly eras that I'm just not that interested in and I'm finding that the Progressive Era is one of them. As a grad student I have very little time for television. I manage to actually watch three shows a week--Bones, NCIS and the Mentalist. Other than that I may have the TV on, but it's highly unlikely I'm watching it. Out of all the characters on those shows I probably relate best to Temperance Brennan. Really smart, hard worker, but not quite with it when it comes to the real world. I was saying "I don't know what that means" long before she came around. I've gotten a little better (my best friend usually plays the Angela to my Bones) but just when I feel I might be catching up something new comes along and it takes me six months to a year to figure out what anyone is talking about. One thing I do love though, is quoting TV shows. Of course I can only quote the ones I watch, but quote them I do. Some of my favorites are: "Jesus is not a zombie" "Glug Glug Woohoo!" "Just because I have breasts doesn't mean I have magical powers over infants." (I have actually managed to use this one in a conversation) "I want you to get federal on his ass!" "I have a puckish side that will not be denied." "Betcha five bucks Tony does the chair toss technique" "Like some species of frog I grow what I need." "Relax, Quick Draw. We're Feds." "You who won't share a Krispy Kreme donut is going to give up a kidney?" "There's no business like Cho business." Any way, I think that's enough demonstration of my memory retention when it come to random TV quotes. Don't you? |
