![]() Author has written 4 stories for Twilight, Titanic, Moulin Rouge, and Friends. Hi, my name is Claire. I live in North Lincolnshire in England. It's not a bad place but it wouldn't hurt if the weather was better! I'm 15 years old and I am in my last year at school (Year 11, I'm one of the youngest in my year). Unfortunately for me, I'm lacking in height and my friends don't fail to tell me every day. However, I strongly believe (no, strongly hope) that one day I'll have a growth spurt and then they'll be sorry! (I'm actually not that vicious, I'm almost a pacifist - I make an exception when it comes to my younger brother.) Personally I never know what to write on these things and I don't like copy and pasting things like "98 of teens have moved onto sex, drugs and alcohol, copy and paste . . . . . ." What gets me about these things are that lots of people put these things on their profiles and really about 98 have them on their profiles and 2 don't. It's a contradiction! It's almost as if you have to have proof that you are not one of these people, but by doing this, in effect, you actually are becoming one by succumbing to peer pressure. It's madness . . . I'm sticking to the better way, writing things on your profile for people to learn stuff about you rather than to prove to everyone that you are not a druggy, an alcoholic and that you are still a virgin. Although it sounds a bit cliche, my favourite authors include ones such as Stephenie Meyer, Cliff McNish (not that well known but incredible, if you get the chance read 'Breathe') and Harper Lee (I'm a sucker for the Classics). I'm not too keen on authors like Meg Cabbot and Louise Rennison (I have read a few of their books though) because I find them just a touch too girly. I like them occassionally if I'm that sort of mood but too much girly frustrates me, so much whining! The books I tend to read are Romance ones and Mystery ones. I'm a hopeless romantic! I also like books that are set in the past, fictional ones that are based on something real that has happened, you get such an insight and it feels so real to the reader! I'm into quite a variety of music. I like Panic! At The Disco (particularly 'From a Mountain in the Middle of the Cabins'), Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Muse and Nickelback (they can really give a person inspiration!). However, I also like a bit of jazzy music such as Sting (the saxophonist), Kenny (the trupeter) and my favourite, Dennis Rollins (the trombonist). I'm also a fan of a few miscellanious songs such as Children of Sanchez and Flight of the Bumblebee (wow). I am actually a musician aswell as an avid reader. When I'm stressed or sad or angry there's nothing more I like to do than to pick up a great book or bang out a few chords on the piano. I've never done anything like this before so please review my stories and I appologise if they're not very good but I do enjoy writing and I would really appreciate the criticism! Also, if any one has any book suggestions I'm open! Thanks x |
