![]() Author has written 2 stories for Transformers/Beast Wars. "Scientists: No one ever realizes we're right until it's too late." Name: You can call me by my nickname if you like: Jax. Sex: Female Age: Early 20's. Deviant Art Page: I'll most likely be posting updates on the progress of my stories here. I was going to use my LJ account, but decided against it. I'd rather keep that personal. I joined FF.net a few months ago, but I have been reading various stories on here for years. I've always been too intimidated by some of the awesome authors I've encountered to post anything of my own. I haven't written any fiction in years. I've mainly been writing reports, presentations, papers, and working on my thesis. I finally got the courage to post my first story though! I will update as often as my life as a grad school slave lets me. :-P Interests: Science! I am an aquatic biologist, currently earning my Master's degree. I spent last summer doing field research for my thesis and now I am busy analyzing the data and writing up the results. I love it! I AM A TREE HUGGER. But not the kind that doesn't shave or that protests things without a full understanding of the issues. As an environmental biologist I get to see the impacts humans have on the environment through my research and that of the awesome professors that I work with. It is huge, and if you saw the kinds of data I see on a daily basis you'd be appalled. It's time to go green, people! :-) Sports. I love being active. Music: I listen to pretty much anything. Except spazz jazz. Ya know, the kind were there's no solidified melody and you have to have ADHD to follow it? Yea. Don't like it so much. I used to love to write music, but I haven't done it in years. I still sing though. I love singing. It's one of the only things I'm actually good at. I have a versatile voice too, so I can sing anything from Mozart to Blondie. lol XD Books: My favorites include (in no particular order); What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Legend of Bagger Vance, A Separate Peace, The Outsiders, the Harry Potter series, The Grapes of Wrath, Where the Red Fern Grows, the Halo series...and more I don't feel like listing right now. Movies: Transformers, Fried Green Tomatoes, Hot Fuzz, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, POTC movies, the Harry Potter movies, the Spiderman movies, Star Wars (IV, V, and VI), Love Actually, the Shrek movies, The Legend of Bagger Vance, Amadeus...for starters. TV shows: Old stuff- Transformers G1, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, MASH, Star Trek TNG and DS9. New stuff- Avatar: The Last Airbender, Law and Order SVU, CSI, Shark, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Deadliest Catch. Games: Xbox and Xbox 360- Halo games, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars Battlefront, Guitar Hero II and III, DDR Universe 2. Some old school N64 stuff- Harvest Moon, Donkey Kong, Excite Bike, Perfect Dark. Stories Identity: A desperate father hides his tiny sparkling in a cavern on prehistoric Earth in a desparate attempt to save her from certain death on the planet Cybertron. Forward to present day where a young doctor, Air Force Captain Crystal Greene, gets caught up in an ancient battle and finds herself feeling strangely connected to a race of giant alien robots. When strange things start to happen involving Crystal and Allspark fragment, Autobot CMO Ratchet begins to piece together a twisted puzzle of seemingly impossible truths. Rated T, however, rating may go up due to some strong language. RatchetxCrystal. Time Heals All Wounds: For millennia Ratchet has been haunted by the memory of the femme he left behind on Cybertron. When she is transfered to Earth, Ratchet may learn that the only way to deal with the painful memories of a troublesome past may be to meet them face to face, whether he wants to or not. Rated T, but may go up in the future. RatchetxArcee. Original Characters and Ideas (Please ask before you use!!) Kryolite: (An idea used in the story "Identity".) A rare hard mineral substance that forms an elaborate crystaline structure. Found only on the asteroids and meteors of deep space. Is very dense and contains massive amounts of energy within its molecular bonds. Can support a spark in stasis lock for an indeterminate amount of time. Crystal Greene: Main character in the story "Identity". Appearance: 5'11, blue eyes, long sandy-blonde hair, athletic build. Age: 29. Biography: Is a relatively young doctor, having finished each step in her education earlier than most. Medical knowledge seems to come to her naturally and effortlessly. She holds the rank of Captain as a surgeon in the United States Air Force, gaining recognition for her contributions to the field of combat medicine. She was part of a forward operations field team stationed at the SOCCENT base in Qatar, and as such, has a history with Captain Lennox and his men. In additon to her medical prowess she is also very mechanically minded, and dabbles in mechanics on the side. Personality: She is a bit rough around the edges. She cares deeply about the soldiers entrusted to her care, even if they do tend to drive her insane. She's generally quiet, contemplative and kind, but has a hot temper, especially when someone tries to mess with one of her patients. Even though she is a member of the military, she hates war and wishes that governments would work to find more peaceful solutions. Though she has a vast amount of medical knowledge and expertise, she sometimes lacks commen sense and can be a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to non-medical matters. She is also quite gullible. Her forward and blunt manner of dealing with people sometimes gets her into trouble with her superiors. Likes: Music. She loves to sing and play the piano, though does not do so in front of other people very often. She also loves sports and will gladly play a rough game of football or rugby with the guys. She likes having a good time and happily attends rowdy social gatherings. Dislikes: People with no respect for life, be it human or alien. Staunch military types. Watching her guys leave on a mission. |
