Dean accidentally kills Castiel, and is tormented by grief & guilt afterwards. Dean's convinced Cas still exists & will be resurrected; Sam's not so sure, but is determined to help his brother recover. Meanwhile the Darkness is spreading, and soon the brothers realize they may have to embark on their strangest journey yet. Will they have to fight their last battle without Castiel?
