Favorite Author: Neal Shusterman. This will never change because I think this guy is just flocking brilliant. Michael Crichton is getting up there, but so far nobody has been able to top Neal. If you haven't a clue who this guy is look him up and then go read Unwind. You will cry or if not then you'll do some serious thinking.

Same with Orson Scott Card. He's a recent one, but my jeezums. At first I thought "I just love Ender and Bean and Peter", but now it's "I love Ender and Bean and Peter and Orson Scott Card" because he's honestly... he's just good. (new additions: Miro, Alvin, but not Calvin because he's just a jerk, Cristoforo Colombo, VERILY COOPER!! and on and on)

Book I'm Currently Reading: The Heart of Darkness. For school. It's not bad, but is confusing. He goes from talking about the manager position to a hippopotamus to rivets...

Series Addiction: Young Wizards. (used to be) Harry Potter (now I'm addicted to the fanfics. esp. marauders). Twilight (not REALLY, but it is an amusing story. There's a tad too much romance for my taste.) X-Men. Anything X-Men.

Fave Movie: Stranger Than Fiction.

Favorite TV Show: Boy Meets World. No contest. Of those that aren't canceled, iCarly. The Weekenders. "Later Days" is now my favorite catch phrase. Gilmore Girls. The O.C. Adam freaking Brody, ladies and gentlemen.

Current View on Maximum Ride: I have no love left for the series. There is no resemblance to the first book in the fifth, and the first book is when I fell in love with the characters (because the plot hadn't set it, yet, even though strings were being threaded and hope was being formed that the plot would be decent and interesting). I don't like where the series is going. A huge schism lies between the first three books and the next three, almost as though they're not the same series. Grr... it just makes me mad that what I loved about the first book is completely gone.

Favorite Type of Fanfic:
When the Marauders read the HP books.

Crossovers. So many people don't like crossovers, but that's because many authors muck them up. There are some really awesome crossovers out there. My favorites: Twilight/Maximum Ride. Young Wizards/Harry Potter. Harry Potter/Maximum Ride. And I am thinking of writing a Maximum Ride/Young Wizards. It is completely possible, and there are three different ways I can mesh them together. My problem is that I don't know if anyone would want to READ it. I don't know if any Young Wizard fans are fans of MR.

Nudge/Iggy, "clueless fluff" in which they're not exactly sure of their feelings, but something is obviously there. I'm not a big fan of when ships I like are actually together, the before-hand build-up is much more fun to read.

Current Pet-Peeve: When people post things on Young Wizards that have nothing to do with the actual series at all, but have to do with un-old people who know magic. I guess it also bugs me that Young Wizards has such a small archive too.

Pairings:

MR: Nudge/Iggy. Seriously, there needs to be more Nudge/Iggy fics out there. And, all of a sudden I'm loving JebxValencia. It might just be cause my story Antarctica contains a hint of it, but I really like this pairing. Unfortunately only nathanp seems to have written anything on it. NudgexOmega (when Omega is in character. Otherwise, it doesn't work. I like StarlightDisaster's stuff the bestest.)

HP: Georgia/Alicia, Fred/Angelina. Hermione/Snape (Yes! I know! My initial reaction was also akin to "Eww" but I've grown incredibly fond of them together.) Ginny/Tom Riddle. I don't typically read the mushy Marauder fics, I like the ones about the Marauders as friends. And although I respect your right to write slash, I don't read it.

Twilight: Embry/Leah, Leah/Nahuel, Jacob/Leah. (Mmm, yeah. I love the she-wolf. I love all wolves. I don't care much for the sparkling vampires save Alice and Jasper...)

Young Wizards: Dairine/Roshaun. When you keep them in character they are so cute together. :collective 'awwww': Nita/Kit.

Gay marriage:
1) Being gay is not natural. People always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Briteny Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans... --
