The first thing I'd say is that I'm a translator. Information comes in, I manipulate it a bit, and then it goes out. It's like channelling mana, only with words.

So I think it's high time I stopped repeating and started creating :)

I love good language. I'll read almost anything, as long as it is well written, and I won't care for the most fascinating plot if the writing is sloppy and careless.

I love to explore the grey areas, to delve into the whys and hows, to see the events from the bad guy's point of view, to blur the lines between the good and bad. One of my favorite authors is Andrzej Sapkowski (the Witcher series), a master of turning fairy tales on their head and adding that delicious dash of ambiguity.

So what story ideas are currently living in my head? Well, there's one Hawke who's a smuggler and quite happy to remain outside the law even if he weren't a mage; one Hawke who hates Kirkwall with a vengeance and would gladly watch it burn to the ground; and one pretty nasty, power-hungry Hawke who's a blood mage and makes no excuses for it. No idea if these will ever see the light of the day, however. Will keep training to create :)
