While my name here on Fanfiction.net is CausticArdor (as on DeviantArt), I am known as Pristine on most sites. :)

I am a writer and artist; I count both as hobbies I'm capable of but I much more enjoy writing than drawing. Since a young age (as a collector of My Little Ponies), I've been writing stories about anthropomorphic animals, ponies in particular. Most recently in life, I joined a game online called Pony Island (www.ponyisland.net), which housed a healthy-sized pony-roleplaying community known as Azuyan.

Several of my pony characters traveled through Azuyan, but my first character, Kibeth, always held a special place in my heart, so when I started writing for NaNoWriMo in 2009, I knew it had to be a story about her. I tentatively titled it "Shades of Gray", and each year at NaNo, I added to it. This recent NaNo (2012), I finished her story; at over 200,000 words, it's quite massive!

Despite the more-recent release of a series of (shoddily-written) books with a similar name, I kept the title of Kibeth's story for several reasons I hope the story itself will reveal.

Now I begin the process of editing and publishing it for critique. I have a long way to go, editing-wise, although the first 20-or-so chapters have mostly been completed and need only minor touch-ups. What I really need is the help of the readers of this site. I know my story can get convoluted and verbose; it's probably lengthier than it needs to be. I need all of the good, constructive criticism that I can get. All help in this realm is greatly appreciated.
