Februrary 24, 2008: Hullo, this is my first newscast. I just found out a couple days ago that the writers strike ended!! This means that NUMB3RS will be back! Rejoice, for all your favorite TV shows will be back (and in my case, that means NUMB3RS!!)

Februrary 25, 2008: I was bored. So I decided to fill this space. Now I am not bored. March 24, 2008: I have published my second fic. Slight problem: the first one has been reviewed 4 times and read 80 times. The second has been read 50 times and reviewed twice. April 15, 2008: Update: 10WTRDH has been read 166 times, and reviewed 10 times. 10WTREH has been read 146 times... and reviewed 5 times. This is saddening, people. August 4, 2008: Yesterday, two days after everyone else, I got Breaking Dawn. I will not be so cruel as to spoil it (although I must say, READ IT OR DIE!), but I am happy to announce I read it in roughly three hours, with large breaks in between, at a speed of about 9 pages per minute. October 16, 2008: After more than a month gone, I'm sorta back. I have a new story up (thanks for the reviews, by the way), and a few more in the can (one of them being that challenge, Kore), which will be up ASAP.

About Me

I am a reasonably intelligent teenager living in cyberspace, with a private retreat in My Own Little World and a summer home on Mars. I am a proud fangirl for various pairings, and have a weakness for chocolate and fictional male characters. I write in short bursts of inspiration, which is why I mostly write oneshots (most ideas are too short to be chapters). I am a fantasy junkie, a Shakespeare nut, a Humor/Parody queen, a bibliophile, a chocoholic, a spaz, and a quotation freak. My favorite word is xanadu (used to convey an impression of a place as almost unattainably luxurious or beautiful), and I have a sarcastic streak riddled with dry humor and a strong sense of irony. I own a very old Macintosh laptop, which regularly refuses to let me access the Internet, in addition to being slow, stupid, and incapable of functioning without being plugged in (the computer equivalent of life support, meaning that my computer has an IQ of less than 3).

I am a supporter of the Sober Universe (SU)

I refuse to believe that JKR's recent revelations regarding post-DH ships are canon. I subscribe to the Sober Universe where we can use our imaginations to decide who ended up with who, and where my version is as true as yours.

JKR has given us a wonderful universe to play with, but she has finished writing the books. Either she should have given us a decent epilogue to DH, telling us what we wanted to know, rather than what we could have guessed, or she should have kept her ideas about post-DH events, ships and names to herself. It is my personal belief that if she had actually tried to write any of the ships that are now "canon" (particularly George/Angelina), she would see that they do not work.

I am aware that, by its very nature, fanfiction is not "canon", and cannot ever truly be canon. However, for those who showed enough respect to Jo Rowling to make every effort to keep their fics in line with her vision - some of her recent decisions have been rather disappointing. Had she included any or all of this information at the end of Deathly Hallows, that would have been wonderful - I'm sure many of us would have preferred a more fully complete edition of the Epilogue, which we were not afforded. I love the universe Jo gave us in first seven books (though perhaps a little less of the sixth, for those who know my works), but beyond hardback canon, the only canon I stick to, if it isn't AU, will be SU canon.

Shakespeare's Sonnet 18

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed.
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st,
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

A true story:

One day, Rina (my sister) was rummaging through the cupboard when she found Nesquik. Knowing my fondness for chocolate, she called out, "(SMARTY)! CHOCOLATE!" Almost immediately, the following sounds were heard from my room: "CHOCOLATE?! AHHH!!" Thump. Hysterical laughter.

As you may have guessed, in my enthusiastic attempt to get to the chocolate, I tripped over air and did a face-plant in the carpet. We did not stop laughing for two minutes.
