Hello all...

I am Kyuuketsu (吸血鬼), though normally I go by Kyuui (休意). I love to write stories, and am doing NaNoWriMo with a friend this year. But more than simply telling and writing stories, I've got a huge soft spot for certain Japanese anime, English classical novels, and the like. It is my hope that you will enjoy reading my stories where I play with the character of certain fandoms as much as I enjoy writing them. If you wish, here is a short biography about me, as well as the fandom(s) I am currently enthralled within:

Age: 17.5

Gender: Female

Current Fandom(s):

Yuugiou (Yu-Gi-Oh) - I have been in love with this fandom for quite a long time; the Japanese anime and manga are excellent.

Stargate-SG1 - Another show that I have adored with all of my heart. I remember watching this when I was only about 6.

Candide - Is it possible to be in a fandom for a satire written several hundred years ago? I don't know, but I am a fan of this!

Catch-22 - Yossarian. That should explain it all.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy - A major classic, though sometimes I wish the elves stayed...

YGO: TAS - It deserves its own category; I love The Abridged Series because LK is simply put: Epic.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - If I didn't love this I would not be who I am today. Ford, Arthur, Zaphod, Marvin... I love you all! Thanks for all the fish.

That is, simply put, Kyuui in a nutshell. Now, while I love all of the stories listed above, and certainly more than just those few, I usually only write on Yuugiou, sometimes crossing it over with either Stargate-SG1 or Harry Potter (I'm not so fond of this fandom, but the fact it contains a school of magic in England makes it very handy when dealing with Yuugiou). This is simply because there are so many things I can imagine for Yuugiou, as it is based around games. Now, mentioning this, there are a few things the readers must buy into when reading my Yuugiou stories:

1) Seeing as the final battles in the manga and anime for the Ancient Egypt/Millenium World Arc (excluding the Ceremonial Duel) were held within a game, I tweak this to my advantage; I do believe another writer, Haruka-shir (please check her out; her story-telling abilities are amazing!) put it within her own Yuugiou/Stargate-SG1 story: games are made-up. Thus, in accordance to this idea, the AE/MW Arc was all a game and had only partial basis in the reality of Yami no Yuugi and his former empire. Depending on the story, I do change what the actual occurrences during the time were, but many of my stories give Yami no Yuugi a similar background, or at least hint at it.

2) Yami no Yuugi was around 15 or 16 when he ascended the throne, if I've properly done my research. That means, shortly thereafter, he was also killed by Zoku/Touzokuou Bakura. Despite the fact that it never is stated in the manga nor anime (to my knowledge) I happen to believe he was married or at least going to be married. Therefore, I gave him a wife. You can't sue me, so don't try! Going along with Yami no Yuugi's true name, she's been properly named as well. I think. Oh well, I'm not planning on being an Egyptologist.

3) Though Afekia is a Japanese fanbase name for Touzokuou Bakura, I like it. I pretend it's his real name, because saying Bakura Ryou and then just Bakura would be very... annoying. Similarly, Yami no Yuugi's real name is mentioned... several times. His real name is usually rather important in explaining who he and Yuugi were/are. If you've been spoiled already, then it shouldn't bother you at all, but anyone who hasn't been spoiled should not blame me. Fair warning!

4) Mariku has no connection to the Ancient Egypt of Yami no Yuugi and Touzokuou Bakura. He's an underground Tomb Keeper; that gives him and Ishizu reason enough to stick around.

5) I suck at remembering duels, even though I'm fair at actual dueling. If there's a duel in a chapter, I'll be as vague as possible and focus more on the dialogue. You'll thank me if you ever see one of my attempts at writing a duel. But then again, there is little dueling, as most of the characters don't duel, or they're actually doing coursework!

6) I use the Japanese names, and I try to stick with the personalities presented in the manga; however I also place my stories several years after the original manga/anime end. People change, so if a person is somewhat out-of-character, it is because they cannot stay flat characters in my stories. They will have development, I demand it!

7) I forget how old Mokuba is in comparison to the others. I just pretended he was around 11 at the beginning of the show, and thus the age difference between him and Yuugi remains 4-5 years.

8) The Doma/Doom Organization Arc? Yeah, that never happened.

9) I tie in events that happen in Yu-Gi-Oh GX sometimes... when Yuugi is old enough, at least. I try to keep them at around 22, because that tends to gives more leeway and then I don't have to deal with kids that people might have.

Some funny quotes:

Black holes are where God divided by zero. (Unknown to me)

Suicide is one way of telling God: You can't fire me, I quit! (Unknown to me)

I'm on a blimp. I'm on a blimp. Everybody look at me, cause I'm dueling on a blimp! (Kaiba Seto and Ishutaru Mariku, YGO: TAS)

Your mother plays card games in hell! (Demonic Teddy, YGO: TAS)

That's some catch, that Catch-22. (Yossarian, Catch-22)

But now we must cultivate our garden. (Candide, Candide)
