GAFFN is no longer the safe haven for everyone to enjoy. Plagiarizers, drama, hate.

They just won't stop. And little do they know that they're slowly destroying GAFFN.

And they'll end up regretting all the shits they've did.

Let's think about it. Ideas are always copied - copied so much that the author of the original idea was either unknown or long forgotten.

I'm pretty sure that every author on GAFFN has taken an idea from someone else's story before. Am I right?

So wouldn't that make us all plagiarizers?

Then, think again. If copying ideas alone makes us plagiarizers, then what would I become if I took your story and copied it in every way? Worse than a plagiarizer, of course. Now, shoo, go make up a name for them.

Can't?

That proves that copying ideas can lead to plagiarism, but is not plagiarism itself. So those authors who are pissed that their ideas were taken, don't go reporting them for plagiarizing. It's just that the copycat can't think of something else that surpasses your idea. If the copycat's story is actually better than yours, then get your ass in front of computer and start typing. That's what competition is all about.

Now I made my point. End of story.

If you think that FFN is the safest place where you can enjoy yourself as an author, think again.

As an author, you will receive daily PMs or reviews telling you to update faster. I don't receive them much, since I'm a failure in writing, but it's enough to annoy the shit out of me.

Writing your own story means having ideas stolen, stories plagiarized, more stress, major drama, and receiving flames that would sting hard.

Imagine having someone coming up to you, piss you off to no end and escapes. Then another one comes along and does the same thing. This goes on a few times until you're fed up with all the bullshit.

So in the end, you end up quitting FFN or as an author.

If you survive that, then imagine having an idiot, to be more precise, a fan of your story, snatching away your story, trampling on your pride until it turns into smithereens, and then running away with all the credit.

And that's when the cycle of plagiarism begins. Just remember that anger won't get you anywhere.

If you're planning on to be an author anyways, go ahead. Brace yourself, because people don't care at all if you have a life or not. Right, they're worse than barbarians.

Whenever you update, ask yourself if it was worth using your time to write the next chapter. Do you receive reviews that make you feel all warm and bubbly inside? If not, it's not worth writing for cold hearted bastards who can't appreciate things. Just do not be a review whore.

As a reviewer, you should keep in mind that authors don't give a damn on what the hell you were doing while reading the story.

If you do that, you're just wasting the author's precious time.

What authors want to see the impact the story had on you. Did you smile and laugh? Did you cry?

Do not, let me repeat myself. Do not rush the author into posting the next chapter. You see the 'not', right?

Don't go saying: 'Why won't you update faster?' in the reviews. Cause that's just plain bullshit and a waste of time for the authors and they won't bother replying.

And the PMs. If the author didn't reply to your review, don't go pestering them in PMs. It's the same as receiving loads of mail every single day and not knowing what to do with them as they fill up your house.

It's even a pain in the ass to reply to all the 'Please Update' PMs. God, enough is enough.

Happy that the author updated? Thank them from the bottom of your heart.

A review should reflect on how the chapter affected you, not what happened while you were reading it. Those kind of reviews are worthless and you don't deserve reading the chapter.

。Thou Failed Therapist - As an author, I'd say that her talent in writing, if not better, is probably equal to the some of the famous authors that quit not so long ago on GAFFN. She can sound mature, yet complain over the silliest things ever, but I still love her anyways. What still gets to me now is the plagiarism floating around nowadays. It's a shame that she no longer writes because of this. Her stories were really worth reading.
