Greetings. It seems you have wandered into my profile. I suppose an introduction is in order, is it not?

Hmm...what to say? I'm a starving undergrad student who enjoys writing as time allows. I've actually been tooling around this site for a couple of years now - didn't really see the point of getting a profile before this, to tell the truth.

My pen name comes from a very amusing, slightly confusing philosophical arguement one of my weirder friends in high school had, in which she compared the selling of books to prostitution. Something to do with the sale of ideas, and therefore immaterial things...I think. It was odd. And really amusing.

I don't really believe in sharing personal info over the net (i.e. name, age, appearance - that's something I never quite understood why people included in their profiles). But here's a bit about me:

I wear glasses, not contacts. I fail to see the reason behind sticking peices of plastic into your eyes...though my glasses can be a pain. They're always slipping down my nose.

I'm a secret romantic. shhhh...don't tell anyone.

I enjoy reading fantasy. Some of my favorite authors include Mercedes Lackey, Terry Goodkind, and Marrion Zimmer Bradley.

I'm quite a fan of Star Wars. Not so much the Prequel Trilogy, through. I love Ewan Mcgregor, but the acting in all three movies just felt stale. The original Trilogy, on the other hand, is amazing, and if you haven't seen it already, I don't know what you've been doing with your life.

I love video games, however time-consuming they might be. Final Fantasy XII, anyone? Larsa's amazing.

I'm weird. As are my friends. Our conversations are more likely to be about Plato's philosophies than who-said-what or who-did-who. Though we did once have an arguement over the name of Alexander the Great's horse. That was semi-normal. ...right?
