Meet a woman who has rescued hundreds of dogs and cats
In 2009 Julia de Cadenet witnessed the horrors of the Yulin dog meat ‘festival' and the Dog Meat trade in Asia and decided to do something about it. She created the Global \say\ NoToDogMeat campaign, brought the issue to British Parliament and established the charity World Protection for Dogs and Cats in the Meat Trade.

Over the years Julia de Cadenet from NoToDogMeat has personally rescued hundreds of dogs and cats who would have been tortured to death. She now helps to manage a partner shelter near Beijing where over 420 dogs and 36 cats are looking for a new home.
