![]() Author has written 1 story for Halo, and Destiny. I'm FlyingJapman. I play games and, sometimes, write stories. I'm currently focusing on the Halo-Destiny crossover that has been posted for review of the community. I may or may not do another crossover or fan fiction after this main one. Update on H-D Crossover (8/27/17): Sorry I have been away for such a long time (two freaking years!). As I had said before, I have been dealing with a lot of life things, most of them personal, which has led to a decline in desire to write anything. However, I have started to get the spark back in after reading into the Destiny lore and with Destiny 2 on the horizon. I plan on continuing my crossover, with some revisions done to a good chunk of the settings. The Swords of Sangheilios will be changed a bit, which will require a change to the first part of the story, and I will completely redo the UNSC part in terms of the way the story has been previously written. I do have a plan for Part 3 in the near future. Now, here's the bigger issue with it. As I said, I have read into the lore of Destiny and more so the Books of Sorrow, which made me realize that when it comes time to write in the Dark Below and Taken King, I will hit a few walls. The Hive power wasn't even something I fathomed when I took up this project, nor was the reality warping powers of the Vex. The Rise of Iron will also make a few snags in the storyline. So, I will probably try to get Part 1 and Part 2's revisions out of the way, work on Part 3, and then try to figure out how I am going to do Part 4 and beyond with the introduction of Dark Below, Taken King, and Rise of Iron. But I will try to get it done. I will also give Guardians a bigger role, and will incorporate Spartan and Sangheili Guardians. Update (9/4/17): After several days of refreshing my knowledge of Halo and Destiny settings, lore, and in depth comparisons of universes and such, I have decided that I will split the crossover not by in-story parts, but by full stories as a whole. Meaning, that the first crossover story will be purely Swords of Sangheilios. It would be less exhausting on me to do that with all the crap I need to remember about both sides. I plan on changing up the current content as planned, but will change the title as a whole. I wanted to let pro-Covey fans of the series and pro-UNSC fans both gorge themselves with this crossover, but I can't feed both in a single story. And either side would get bored of the other's half of the story anyways. So, part 1 will be purely Swords of Sangheilios perspective. Part 2 (story 2) will be UNSC's perspective. Again, I apologize for the comatose story. I will try to work on it in the next few months. One additional note is that I have plans in motion to move to another state, so that will probably delay any progress assuming I have not goosed out much content. |
