Welcome to my new reviewing account. So far, I have reviewed over one hundred people today. I just made my hundredth a few minutes ago, so I decided to write this in my profile. My writing account is another story. Great pun! That is free of adolescent quips and nonsense that are meant to get even for hearing the truth about their elementary writing. So, I blocked most people from messaging me. I have found it works better than clogging my in-box with senseless replies of how I am wrong, a flamer, mean, nasty etc. Ask yourself this: If I flamed you, did I cuss you out? Did I attack you or your writing quality? Did I attack anything? The answer is NO!

Get over yourself, and learn from your mistakes. I NEVER cuss people out, or do I ever attack anything about anything. I hate poor writing and poor grammar etc. My thoughts are, if you are going to write something for the public to read, you should make sure it is the best it can be. Why publish something full of errors? It only makes the writer look ridiculous. Worse yet, are the people that swoop into a story of this nature, and tell the writer nothing for improvement. All they do is rally around the mess and make very ignorant reviews like:

"It was a good one! Write another perfect story again! Or You are a great writer. You are a perfect writer!"

Tell the truth to the writer. It won't help them to tell rubbish to a writer. In return you will read more rubbish from them. I have seen this so many times here on this site. I feel for anyone that is trying with no help from the readers. So, If I point out comma splices etc to you, and you ignore my findings, well you are the loser. Sorry, that is the truth if you refuse to learn from your mistakes.

A teacher can only hope her students learn what she teaches. If they constantly make mistakes, and she tries to help, but they never listen, she is fighting a losing battle with ignorance. The students are the real losers here as is the writer that mimics them.

In short, if you wish to learn to write, STUDY - LEARN - and LISTEN to your critiques. Face it when it is not a flame, and it is really constructive.

Happy writing Grant Carre
