Following November 25, 2018, this account is no longer in use. I will keep the account in the unlikely event that I wish to write again, but odds are that I will no longer output content.

Reasons:

1. Lack of motivation. This stems somewhat from a lack of recognition, but I’ll cover that later. Recently, I’ve lost the spark of love I had for Neptunia, and that’s really what I started writing for. Failing that, I had some outside evaluation from one of my peers in the real world, and they said that they did not enjoy my content and believed that I had no talent. This wasn’t the nail in the coffin, though. I just haven’t had enough energy or time to dedicate to writing, and when I do have those things, I don’t feel an inclination to write.
2. Lack of recognition. I want to be clear and say that I am not doing this to get attention or to harvest reads from sympathy. During my hiatus on this platform, I branched out to Wattpad to try and write there to test the waters. During that time, I received reads on my stories, but no comments of any kind. I do not mind being small—I think that people should have to start off small and become more renowned through the quality of their work. However, in my time on Wattpad, I wrote an experimental story that I believed to be of decent-to-good quality, but received no feedback on it. I don’t believe for a second that my work is amazing, but I want to receive feedback in the event that it isn’t. This lack of feedback fed into my lack of motivation, and really served to sap my energy and love for writing.
3. Jumbled priorities amongst the readerbase. I want to be clear and say that I am not insulting any specific readers. However, I noticed that people tend to prefer a good romance story to a solid original story. This does not bother me—people have differing tastes and I respect that. However, the romance fics that I have encountered tend to be poorly written (especially on Wattpad) with no appeal apart from self-fulfillment. The preexisting characters are dishonestly portrayed and the original characters are hollow and not really full characters.
