![]() Author has written 27 stories for Hogan's Heroes. I 'm now retired and have been a Hogan's Heroes fan since I first saw the pilot. I have been taking some time off from my writing and am just now getting back to thinking about picking it up again. That involves reading my own stories and getting back on track and I'm already seeing some areas I want to change-lol. I was curious about the inside of a B-17 bomber; so I took a ride in a B-17, "The Liberty Belle", over Dayton Ohio. The roar of the engines was deafening inside the plane, the crew wouldn't have been able to communicate verbally without their headsets. We had to walk through the bomb-bay to get to the nose and there were small gaps at the hinges of the bomb-bay doors where you could see out. I can't imagine having to shake out a wedged bomb with the bomb doors open. Those men were a brave lot! The Liberty Belle, years later, had to make a forced landing in a field. But the lovely lady did her job and kept her crew safe. All on board walked away but the plane was a total loss. I have several HH stories that flow into each other. The Weaving a Web to Freedom - currently five total. "Christmas Morning" which can stand alone leads into "Between the lines". These latest two are based off of the series episode "Diamonds in the Rough" I have been on hiatus but hope to end that shortly and at least finish "Between The Lines" in 2014. September 10, 2014 I have reread and edited my WWTF series as I prepared to Finish "Between the Lines". At this time I have updated WWTF(Weaving A Web to Freedom) Book 1 "The Truth Is What You Make It", Book 2 "Undoing The Past", WWTF- Book 3 " Fliegerabwehrkanonen Spells Flak", and Book 4 "Christmas Morning" are finished. I am currently in the process of finishing Book 5 "Between the Lines". Thank you to all who have written to ask me to finish "Between The Lines". I appreciate your support. Chapter 13 has posted. I am seriously considering writing all of book 6 before I post any of it. My husband has some health issues and I don't want to start posting something I may not get to finish or leave another story hanging for several years as I did with "Between the Lines." But it is my intention, at this time, to finish this series. (Hopefully in book 6) |
