Darcy has been very brooding lately, & Bingley thus thinks it necessary to cheer him up by inviting him along to Netherfield. But instead of enjoying himself Darcy only gives offence & even tries his amiable friend's patience to an as yet unprecedented extent.

When Elizabeth Bennet ventures outside the Netherfield Ball for a bit of air, she witnesses something dreadful and confusing: Mr. Wickham clubs Mr. Darcy over the head and hauls him into a carriage. While there is some romance and a happily ever after for our dear characters, this story centers more on the relationships between George Darcy, Fitzwilliam Darcy and George Wickham. What if the Bennets' situation was worse than was generally known? What if to save her family from a life in the poor house, Elizabeth decided she had no other option but to marry Mr Collins. A tragic carriage accident leaves Mr. Bennet in a coma and the rest of the Bennet family uncertain of their circumstances as the Collins family-father and so-descend upon their home, one year before the canon start of "Pride and Prejudice". Darcy's horse casts a shoe while riding to Pemberley which causes him to miss encountering Elizabeth Bennet who is touring the estate. Thus he is unable to show her his change in behaviour, fails to learn of her improved opinion of him, fails to meet the Gardiners, and fails to learn what happens to Lydia. This is a crossover between P&P and S&S. I was advised to move it to the P&P section because few people go to the crossover section. Elinor and Jane became friends in London. Colonel Brandon and Colonel Fitzwilliam are old friends. Darcy's not as proud as he seemed. And then they're all at Pemberley.

When Bingley ignores Darcy and returns to Netherfield and Jane, Darcy decides he might marry for love himself, and Elizabeth tells Darcy what she really thinks of him.

The classic twist of Mr. Bennet dies, Darcy offers a marriage of protection, and he and Elizabeth must work through their pride and prejudices without being able to escape one another.

Surely, Fitzwilliam Darcy had a plan. After he was given two coincidental opportunities, first Kent and then Pemberley, he must have realised that he would now have to be a little proactive when it came to seeking the hand of Miss Bennet. Bingley is particularly OOC, he's not the amiable and humble man we know from P&P. It also includes a vile Wickham, however no real angst, I think.

An alternative end to the Earth's Children books by Jean Auel that begins around the time that Ayla and Jondalar arrive back at the Zelandonii at the end of 'Plains of Passage' and largely ignores Books 5 & 6.

Mr. Bennet died when Elizabeth was fifteen and she married Mr. Collins to protect Jane and her family. Now, years after he died, will unpleasant memories stop her from finding happiness with Mr. Darcy? One violent event described.

Mr. Bennet, faced with the likelihood of his untimely death, must rely on a long forgotten pact to save his family's future. Meanwhile, members of the Darcy-Fitzwilliam clan are enduring the censure of the ton after Georgiana Wickham nee Darcy is abandoned by her husband just weeks after their marriage. A bit dark at first, but I promise a HEA for our favorite couple.

P&P AU - What if there was a scandal in the Bennet family prior to Darcy meeting Elizabeth, could he overcome his pride? What if Elizabeth saw him as another immoral gentleman, could she overcome her prejudice?

What if Mr. Bingley had not followed Darcy's advice, but followed his heart instead? How different would things be for Darcy and Elizabeth if Jane and Bingley had become engaged right after the Netherfield Ball and Bingley hadn't gone to London? When Miss Lydia Bennet is attacked on the road to Meryton on the morning after the Netherfield Ball, suspicions arise on all fronts. Was it a local tradesman's son? Highwaymen? Are the militia men responsible, or will they be the ones to apprehend the murderer? And why has the Netherfield party run off to London the morning after their ball? Truly, a most untoward circumstance...

Marriage forces the Darcys to learn a thing or two more about pride and prejudices than they ever thought they needed to know.

Well we've had the HEA. Darcy and Elizabeth have formed a loving bond. However outside influences are about to pop their happy little bubble for they cannot stay forever at Pemberley. Shamelessly conceived after reading CheshireSorrow's Liberties Taken (May I suggest you read it). Warning, it is a little risqué for 1813. Mr Darcy finds himself in a rather sticky situation during the Meryton Assembly. Not yet introduced to Miss Bennet, they find themselves compromised and made to marry. And so the fun begins. An alternate tale of a classic love story had the protagonists' characters and circumstances been a little different.

Darcy does not accompany Bingley to Netherfield. Therefore, he does not meet Elizabeth until his first trip to Rosings, resulting in some major changes to the way their relationship develops.

Mr. Darcy, for once, needed Bingley's guidance, and at the Meryton Assembly, Lizzy does certainly hear his harsh words, but also hears something else - something that changes her opinion almost immediately. Based on 2005 movie.
