Nervous

I’m feeling nervous.

Not like I’m about to take a test nervous.

Not like I have to make a speech nervous.

Not like everyone’s counting on me nervous.

But just anxious about the future.

I’m nervous about what’s going to happen next.

I’m nervous about what tomorrow brings.

I’m nervous because I don’t know what the future holds for me.

They tell me I am wrong

They say I don’t belong

But still I go on.

The sun is finally setting.

The end is drawing near.

But it’s time for you to go now.
