Silly Duncan stopped taking his meds. Now, one dead Fitzpatrick later, Logan and Veronica need to get him out of town. Too bad they hate each other. AU. Takes place mid 1x3 - Meet John Smith.

Logan being 'the real-Logan' is so familiar that she almost can't help but give in to it, even if it's just a one night pass. She'll embrace this moment out of time and the walls and armor can go back up tomorrow.

Veronica is the mastermind of the best crew on the west coast. Weevil's name does half of his hitting work for him, Mac is the undisputed queen of computers, and Wallace can somehow pickpocket anyone and leave them thinking he was such a nice young man. I wrote this a few years ago and decided to post the first part. It's an alternate universe story that sees what would have happened if Logan Echolls was ostracized from the beginning, rather than Veronica Mars.
