Hey there. Call me Rogue, it's easier. Well, I'm back here after a couple years' hiatus and a complete change of tastes and fandoms (though I do still like The Incredibles) and I just figured it'd be easier to start all over with a new account. I'll write pretty much any genre, but mostly I stick to one-shots because, well, I'm lazy and I tend to lose interest in my stuff after a while. (This does not bode well for my novel...)

One thing you need to know about me right off the bat is that there are two issues I feel very strongly about. One is the Twilight series and the other is the casting of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender film. I am against both of these things for very personal reasons, but the jist of the first one is that I don't feel that a series of books that was so poorly written and researched should be getting so much attention and praise, not to mention I am very strongly against the messages of the books. (And no, abstinence is not one of them. I'm talking more about the sexism, the child-grooming, the "ugly bad pretty good"/"white good dark bad" mentality, and the way the main couple is portrayed as "true love.") Regarding the Avatar film, the blatant whitewashing of the cast disgusts me because not only am I a fan of the show, but I am half-Chinese, so I feel I have a personal stake in the way my culture is portrayed in the media. I appreciate how Bryke went to great lengths to make sure that the Asian cultures were portrayed as accurately as they could be in the show, and to have Hollywood come in and replace all the clearly Asian people with whites (and Indians) and remove the Chinese calligraphy from the main titles is offensive to me. Flame me for either of these reasons if you want; I don't care, I'll just laugh and ignore you. But if you'd like to calmly and reasonably discuss either issue, go ahead and PM me. I don't bite...hard.

Current fandoms: The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, X-Men (specifically X-Men: Evolution, but I might do some comics-related stories sometime), Spider-Man (specifically The Spectacular Spider-Man, because Joe Quesada ruined the comics - besides Ultimate Spider-Man - for me), Avatar: The Last Airbender, Firefly/Serenity, Teen Titans cartoon, The Chronicles of Narnia, and just comic books in general (mostly Marvel though).

I might not ever write about the crackier ones, but I'll probably read them sometimes because they're fun (or hot). Side note: I don't do slash, I don't read it either, but I won't go around flaming those who do. Also, I ship a lot of things just for lulz, especially in Avatar fandom. There is good crack there, my friends.

I just won't look at 'em, sorry. I'm also very against Susan/Caspian because that was NOT in the books and in my world, there is no romance in Narnia except that which Lewis wrote (Caspian/Ramandu's daughter and Aravis/Cor). So in retaliation, I ship Susan/the nerd at the train station, or Warren as Dearheart as dubbed him.
