Because that's exactly what I'm doing here in my retelling of Jane Austen's classic romance. I'm sticking very closely to the original story but with my own modern twist. (Unfortunately, I do not own these characters, AMC does, damn it).

In which Beth was separated from the Greenes during the outbreak, and taken in by the quarry group before Rick found them. The story follows how the relationship between Beth and Daryl grows from indifference to friendship to something more.

Beth and Daryl are reunited in Alexandria but can they figure out a way to bridge the gap in their relationship? Beth seems broken and Daryl is just angry. Can they navigate their relationship now that they are back together? Beth is no longer the doe-eyed innocent from before. Daryl is no longer the brooding angry soul. What does all this mean for them? Rating may change.

Long before the group found themselves on the Greene farm, Maggie and Beth had made a run to town together, only to get separated and after disappearing without a trace, Beth had been written off as dead. Daryl had done a lot of crazy shit before but letting her into his cell had been the craziest. Everything was just so dark, and he couldn't bring himself to say no to the warm light she brought into his life. Nothing was ever simple, though, especially in the apocalypse.

Beth's curiosity gets the best of her when it comes to this handsome redneck that shows up at the family farm. She has a hard time resisting him and needs to know more about him. Daryl and Beth end up with this undeniable connection that neither of them can ignore, starting back at the farm.

Beth Greene loves Daryl Dixon. From basically the moment she met him. Will he ever stop seeing her as a kid, or more than a friend he is teaching to track? She becomes a hunter too, and hits her target every time. Right between the eyes. Beth will catch Daryl too, it just might take some time. And arrows aimed at his head. Rewritten starting season 2.

When every moment might be your last, Beth and Daryl have to decide if their growing attraction is a risk worth taking. Starts in the prison and strays from the show's plot after the group gets separated by the Governor's attack. A slow and sweet build-up between two of my favorite characters.

..Daryl/Beth.. A continuation of the one-shot "You Found Me". Following the events of 5x04, "Slabtown". It still felt as if she wasn't there at all.

He wasn't able to save Merle, but he promised himself that he'd try like hell to save the injured and petrified girl he found by the bottom of the bridge. The only question was; How do you save another person, if you had managed to already lose yourself a very long time ago? - Bethyl AU

Daryl and Beth have a failure to communicate. Lust, love and angst. Story takes place in the Season 4/ Ep.13 "Alone" world. However, Beth does not get kidnapped.

A look at what might happen if Beth and Daryl form a bond earlier in the series. Beth believes Daryl to be a good man and Daryl finds that, despite knowing better, he wants Beth to continue looking at him like he is one. Romance/Horror/Action/Angst/Suspense. S2 onward with my own take on things.
