Sent to investigate the fate of a pair of missing Galactic Federation ships, Samus Aran follows a set of engine trails and a mysterious signal through a wormhole. En route to one of the crash sites, her gunship is shot down by an unknown entity. Her upgrades scattered throughout the Mojave Wasteland and determined to complete her mission, she accepts help from a man named "Hawk".
