Author has written 4 stories for Batman Begins/Dark Knight, X-Men: The Movie, Sherlock, and Star Trek: 2009.

Hello world! I go under the pseudonym of pinkpiepinkwriter (but you already knew that). I'm from the United States and female.

I've always loved literature, every since I was little. Some of my fondest memories consist of reading the Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. It may sound silly, but I truly believe that books can influence your life. They take us to places we've never been before and we get so attached we find it inexplicably hard to leave, when the story is over. Reading a story is almost as much of a process as writing one. At first glance, a book is just multiple pages with words printed on them. Slowly, it begins to develop into an experience; an experience enhanced 100x by one's imagination. The characters in the story turn into trusted friends and irksome enemies. We make connection within a story and then begin to apply them (consciously or not) to our own lives. As a child, I honestly believed that I was going to grow up to be a witch and went around yelling "Accio" to far away object with a plastic wand my mom had gotten me from Target.

As much as I've always loved ready, I've loved writing, so I finally decided to try my hand at it. I've read many fanfictions and have written very few. However, I decided that if you're going to write about anything at all, it should be about something you love. And hence, I write fanfiction.

Personally, I'm unfamiliar with any form of writing other than essays, because once finish your freshman year, you find yourself writing one or more every month. I've written essays on topics ranging from how Hope Summers could have been based on Jesus Christ to the benefits of upper body fitness to the mind. I am making an honest effort to correct any mistakes I make in my writing, so if you happen to notice any (even a missing comma), feel free to alert me. I'll fix all mistakes as soon as I can.

I should also mention that while I am from the United States, my parents were educated under the British schooling system, so I do occasionally spell words a tad differently, simply because I learned to spell them that way as a child. To this day, my dad is convinced that I spell certain words wrong and need to learn English.

I have many personal qualms about fanfictions, simply because I'm an awfully picky person. Even with my own stories, I can write an entire chapter than delete it because I feel that it didn't play out exactly the way I wanted it too. My main qualm is text language. While it is perfectly acceptable to type these words or use them to express your own feelings in writing (this is 2014), many characters will not say those words out loud (unless it's a crack! fic. Anything, I mean anything is acceptable in crack! fics). Someone like Erik Lehnsherr would never say "Omg!" or "Lol." It's unfathomable.

That brings me to my next point, which I feel is essential to state. I really appreciate it when people write characters in character. I just can't read non-crack! fics, where characters are out of characters. When I really like a character, I usually connect with them on an emotional level, so when they act atypically without good reason, it drives me insane. In the case of Magneto, yet again, he is not a Nazi. I've seen to many fanfictions (not necessarily on this site) where other characters have called him one and he out rightly agrees or when he is reading Mein Kampf. While his basic ideas are synonymous to those of the Nazis to some extent, he was a holocaust survivor. He would NEVER agree with the Nazi's.

But, forgive me, I'm ranting. (In case you haven't noticed, Magneto is my undisputed favorite superhero/villan.)

Now it's time to address the metaphorical elephant in the room. Original Characters. I use original characters in my stories, but their sole purpose is to further the plot in ways that have potentially been unexplored. When used correctly, original characters can enhance stories to amazing extents. I've read so many stories featuring original characters that were written beautifully. Some of them were so good, I subconsciously associated them with the fandom and when I saw the trailer for the movie, I was confused because they weren't in it. For example, whenever I see a Thor movie, I expect to see Sigyn (I'm not sure if she counts as an OC). Depending on your viewpoint, that can be a benefit/ detriment of the usage of OCs. But, let me reiterate that OCs have to be added strategically. I've read stories that have more OCs than actual characters and found myself wondering what the hell was going on. Not every character needs to fall in love with an OC (in a fanfiction) and not every character (in a fanfiction) should be an OC.

On a lighter note, I also hate it when I think two characters would interact in an amazing way, but there are no stories about them (like Billy Kaplan and Grandpa Magneto; I would die for a good story about those two). I suppose that was one the motivators for me to write fanfiction. Character interaction is literally what I live for in shows like Yu-Gi-Oh. No matter how bad the idea behind a show is, I can watch it purely through a lens of character interaction.

I'm interested in a wide variety of fandoms from anime to plays. I am extremely emotionally invested in all of the ones listed below. I am unsure what to do with my life because many of them have come to a close or simply been discontinued.

TV

Smash: I'm not going to even going to try to deny it. I love Derek. He is my favorite character. I prefer him sans Karen and Ivy at the moment, simply because they've both done things that have upset me. Julia and Frank make me sad.

CSI: New York: I generally like all shows about forensics and such, but the character interaction in this particular CSI does it for me. My favorite character would probably be either Flack, Mac, or Hawkes. I can't say I like Jo or Jamie very much though. Stella was nice while she lasted. Lindsey and Danny make a adorable family.

Smallville: I seriously love Superman. Despite what people say about him, I think he is a well-written character with struggles that aren't always portrayed accurately. Smallville does a beautiful job with his growing up process. I currently prefer Smallville's Green Arrow to Arrow's Green Arrow. I know Clark and Lois will always end up together, but I just feel like he belongs with Lana. They make such a beautiful family.

Star Trek: TOS: Where do I begin? I love Jim, I love Spock, and I love Bones. The science and character interaction is amazing. Captain Kirk will always be my favorite Captain of the Enterprise and Bones is hilarious. Friday's Child was awesome because he got Eleen to name her child Leonard James Akaar. And Spock is disconcerted. Amok Time and What Little Girls Are Made Of are great for character interaction as well.

Sherlock: As a lover of most Sherlock Holmes related media (I just couldn't get into Elementary), this show was right up my alley. I started of as a skeptic at first, but the character interaction did it for me. I haven't seen season three yet, so please, no spoilers! Also, Benedict Cumberbatch. Need I say more?

The Vampire Diaries: I hate to admit it, but I'm a sucker for vampire related dramas. Damon is with out a doubt my favorite character, but I also feel like Elena and Stefan belong together. Ah, the juxtaposition! The vampire on this show don't sparkle in the sunlight, but they deal with it in an interesting manner. The show is enjoyable, but I haven't seen any of the new episodes.

Mad Men: Don Draper. The 60s. I'm going at that because I could go on forever (and ever) about this show. If you haven't seen it, you should.

Criminal Minds: If you like crime dramas, this is an interesting show. Criminal Profiling is really interesting and really useful. However, it does make you a bit paranoid, so fair warning. My favorite character was Gidian, but now that he's gone, I guess it's between Hutch and Reid. Morgan and Garcia are cute as well. Once again, this show can get pretty creepy.

The Twilight Zone: I think the subject matter for this show is very interesting. I used to be terrified out this show because of the ride at Disneyland, but I can handle it now. Many of the episodes are heartwarming and the others get you thinking. One of my favorites is The Hunt. As a dog lover, that really did it for me.

House M.D.: Character interaction yet again! House and Wilson will forever be my BROTP. Foreman is, well Foreman and I love him for that. Kutner is adorable and I couldn't function for around three days after he died. This show will make you laugh, but break you heart at the same time. You'll also find yourself loving/ hating Greg a lot. I currently just want him to be happy.

Perception: I haven't seen beyond the first season, but this is a really well-written show. It's interesting and Dr. Pierce's episodes are fascinating. The ending of the show was amazing, but I don't know if I'll ever watch the rest of it. I do hope that he and the therapist can further their relationship through.

Finally, I'm a bit of a Reality TV junkie. Sometimes, I just don't want to watch anything with substance. Kardashians, Jersey Shore, Real Housewives, Teen Mom, you name it and I've probably seen it.

Cartoons

Young Justice: Why was this show cancelled? It was the best thing that was ever on Cartoon Network and I've been watching CN for a very long time. I may be biased due to my love of Nightwing, but I laughed, a cried, and I sat on the edge of my couch, while watching this show.

Transformers: It's kind of hard to be specific here. I have a love/hate relationship with the original cartoons because of Rodimus Prime. I don't care much for Animated. And I love TF: Prime. Okay, maybe it wasn't hard to be that specific. Personally, Jack, Miko, and Spike were all so much better than Sari. The whole thing about her become a robot confused me.

Ben 10: I grew up watching this show. I haven't seen Omniverse, but I've seen everything before that. Kevin and Gwen were a cute couple and Ben is Ben. I watch the show for him. My favorite alien form? Why, it's between Four Arms and Big Chill.

Storm Hawks: Dark Ace. He always fails. Honestly, he just needs to give up. No mercy is ever shown to him. My favorite character is a tie between Piper and Finn. Stork is the reason I watched that show however, just saying.

Beware the Batman: This is more 3D animation, but I'm going to count it as a cartoon. Despite its widespread negative reception, I really like this show. I haven't started reading the comics that go along with it, but I'm excited to. I like that they included characters like Michael Holt and Simon Stagg. I'm not really sure why Bruce is into juicing though. I guess that's just a celebrity thing nowadays.

X-men: This series was great because it was basically the comics in television viewing format. Logan is still hilarious and Beast is still adorable. I also like that Jubilee gets a rather large role in the show. I've always liked her for some reason. Also, Gambit. Gambit, Gambit, Remy LeBeau.

X-men Evolution: I love anything that involves the X-men. Anything. This fandom has consumed my life and it's unfortunate. I love Magneto, so naturally I love Wanda and Pietro as well. My favorite X-men however has always been Jean Grey or Marvel Girl. I have...qualms about Emma Frost, so I'm glad she isn't in this series. I feel like the series could have given Bobby a bigger role. Iceman is also one of my favorite X-men.

Wolverine and the X-men: Logan is leading the X-men, to what seems to be their imminent deaths. Somehow, things work out and everybody is okay. I like the relationship between Kurt and Wanda. I personally ship Jean with Scott, but I can accept Jean and Logan. You also get quite a bit of Gambit and Magneto in this series, which is always okay with me. Ah, Logan, you crazy mother*er.

Movies

Batman Trilogy: I think Bale did an excellent job of playing Batman. Batman Begins and TDK were great. However, TDKR fell a little short, at least by my standards. I love Michael Caine as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. The whole series made Batman very relate able. He was no longer distant and unreachable. We saw his struggles and got the opportunity to connect with him.

X-men Movie series: My favorite out of this series is First Class. X2 was also very good. Let's not discuss X3 because Jean and Scott. It's sad that Wolverine took over the entire series, but we all new that it was inevitable. He's been the most popular x-man ever since his comics were released. I did enjoy the Wolverine though and Wolverine: Origins needs to be observed through a different lens and it becomes enjoyable.

Star Trek: J.J. Abrams did a good job with the reboots! However, I'll always have a special place in my heart for The Motion Picture, The Wrath of Khan, The Journey Home, and First Contact. I love that the movies were very Spock-centric because he's my favorite character. I'm still confused about the relationship between him and Saavik though.

Stoker: Hitchcock movies never really scared me, so neither did this one. It's more of a thriller. It has a lot of vivid imagery and really gets you thinking. I think the actors did a fabulous job and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The symbolisms pretty legit too.

Prometheus: This movie makes my head hurt every time I watch it. I think I know what's going on, but then something disproves my theories. I watched this really awesome analysis on line about time -traveling and space warps and I choose to currently accept it as fact. Micheal Fassbender is David the android! It's like Magneto and that chick from A Game of Shadows team up.

Sherlock Holmes Movies: RDJ and Jude Law have a tottaly believable bromance. As a die-hard, SH fan I can appreciate this series a lot. It plays into the books more than it does the fans, which is super important. CONTINUITY SHOULD NOT BE TWEAKED WITHOUT GOOD REASON!

Iron Man Trilogy: I just watched these for Tony. All he ever wanted was his father's love.

Avengers: More bromances. This movie was made especially for Marvel-fans. I'm also excited for the potential to include Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Captain America: Steve is adorable. I'm trying hard not to rant on any of these superhero related movies. Also I will ship Peggy and Steve until the day I die.

Kill Bill Series: These were cool! They really get you thinking and motivated. The ending describes my life perfectly. If there is a gif of it, I need to see it. Uma Therman is like the shit.

Mulan: Who doesn't like Mulan? Talk about a kick ass Disney Princess. Plus, the songs are great too.

Robin Hood: This movie was good! It had action and historical content mixed into one, with elements of romance and suspense. Cate Blanchett did a really good job.

Anchorman Series: I love Brick. I really love Brick. I had to step outside to gather my feelings a few times to keep from screaming in the theater. Despite what people say, Anchorman 2 was great. It funny and that's what its supposed to be. Can we all just make Ron Burgundy the president of everything?

The Incredibles: Who doesn't like the Incredibles? As far as winners and losers go, they're winners. Frozone is Samuel L. Jackson. That alone should be incentive enough to see the movie (if you haven't already).

The Sound of Music: I can't help but sing along whenever I watch these. The music is so catchy and the characters are all so lovable. I am talking about the Julie Andrews version though. The Carrie Underwood one is missing something.

Books

I'm just not going to say anything about these because in case you couldn't tell, I love them all so much. I could write 1,000 word essays on why I love these. I'm also restricting this list to my explicit favorites.

Dream of the Walled City

Pride and Prejudice

Jane Eyre

Harry Potter

Chronicles of Narnia

Twilight

The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Homes

The Hunger Games

Vanity Fair

Journey to the Center of the Earth

10,000 Leagues Under the Sea

All Star Trek Fiction: My favorite was the Shocks of Adversity.

All Vampire Hunter D Novels

Plays

Les Miserables: This is a classic. The movie adaptation was good too.

Wicked: This play really gets you thinking about the division between good and evil. The songs are good too! I'd recommend seeing it live though, something is missing when you watch it on TV.

Enemy of the People: This one is good. I think a lot of the ideas are accurate though I found myself disagreeing with both Stockholm brothers at points in the book.

Anime

Bleach: I loved Byakuya since the moment that I saw him on the show. It breaks my heart that he and Hisana can't be together. Bleach is good for a good fight and a good laugh. My favorite paring is Ichigo and Rukia. My favorite character is Jushiro. I also want Gin to comeback.

Vampire Knight: Kaname and Yuki are perfect for each other. Sara is my least favorite character. I think that Zero needs love, just not with Yuki.

X-men Misfits: Scott is a bishie. Need I say more? Probably, he doesn't get a lot of love these days, so let's all recount the days before he was a total a*hole. Jean is not present for most of the series and Emma is, but she and Scott don't necessarily start a relationship so I guess I can live with it.

All of the Yu-Gi-Ohs: GX is my favorite simply because that was the first one I watched. I'll always have a connection with Jaden, Chazz, Zane, and Atticus. My least favorite character was probably Dr. Croweler. I didn't know if he was a man or woman, when I was a kid. I found out he was a guy around a year ago. 5Ds is also pretty cool. Jack, Yusei, and Crow have yet another bromance for me to love. As for the original, Seto-freaking-Kaiba.

Naruto: Everyone I know under the age of 30 has seen Naruto before. My favorite character is a three way tie between the Third Hokage, Kakashi, and Itachi. I generally pair Kakashi and Rin together. They make a really cute couple.

Pokémon: Ash will forever be himself to me. There's only so much you can say about that guy because there's no one else like him in the entire show. My favorite Pokémon of all time is Rayquaza. I like Lucario and Charmander too though. I usally start with the fire type when it comes to the games.

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club: My feminist cousin forced me to watch this. If you've seen it you know why. I didn't like it at first, but the guy with the shark teeth reminded me of Micheal Fassbender so it got better. They also eat a lot of fish on the show.

Those are just some of the many series I enjoy! Any suggestions on what to watch or read based on these would be much appreciated! When I'm not studying, I reveling in the magic world of fandoms. Sometimes, I do that when I'm supposed to be studying. Oh well, school or fandoms? I don't know if I can answer that.
