About Me:

Oh hai there.

I am a female university student pursuing writing in my (dwindling) spare time. In addition to writing fanfiction, I have an original novel in the works, which I hope to eventually finish editing. I am also a beta-reader here on FF.net and a peer reviewer of student papers offline. (Unfortunately, I don't get paid for either! :P)

My writing interests have diversified over the years, usually trending toward whatever fandom I'm currently most interested in. The genres I am most familiar with include your typical action/adventure epic, humor, and psychological angst, though I am tentatively venturing into romance as well. No matter the story, however, I've noticed a recurring tendency of mine to psychologically torture, maim, and generally abuse my favourite characters.

...Yeah.

Pairings Made of Awesome:

Fred Weasley x Hermione Granger, Harry Potter:
There are only two things you need to know about me: one, I don't like canon romance; two, this, if anything, is my diehard ship. I adore the potential chemistry and energy between these two. They're not nearly as opposite as they seem at first glance: the twins might not care for schoolwork, but they're clearly brilliant minds in their own right, and Hermione has shown often enough that she can be downright dastardly when she puts her mind to it. Together, they mellow out each others' extremes (reluctantly, that is... :D). I never really 'got' Ron x Hermione; rather, I think she needs a partner capable of challenging her wits and keeping her on her toes. In case you were wondering, I'm not as big a fan of George x Hermione, though I have seen it done extremely well.

George Weasley x Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter:
Unlike the above, I have yet to write this pairing (unless you count the possibly-hints in In George's Eyes). However, I've seen some authors pull it off brilliantly and I've adopted it as such. :3 I ... don't have much else to say for it at the moment. (All right, I know, George needs more love!)

Percy Weasley x Penelope Clearwater, Harry Potter:
I picked this one up because it is simply cute, and lately I've had a soft spot for Percy. I like to picture Penny as the sort of quietly studious person Percy would be comfortable with, but also determined enough to talk sense into him when he's devoting himself too much to his work. (Who's this Audrey you speak of?)

Roy Mustang x Riza Hawkeye, Fullmetal Alchemist:
Another pairing I just have a soft spot for. I love their personalities. It's been a while since I read/watched FMA, so that's all I can really say right now.

Hikaru Hitachiin x Kaoru Hitachiin, Ouran High School Host Club:
I will shamelessly admit that I wasn't really struck by this pairing until about three quarters through the anime. You know, when Kaoru starts narrating episodes. From then on, I was sold on their potential. I'm not a big fan of slash in general, but this was one case where the subtext was there, and being the fangirl I am, I fell for it. :D I think it'd be interesting to explore the consequences of their secluded upbringing and sole attachment to one another alongside their struggle with the taboos of developing such a relationship.

Ongoing Works/Challenges:

The infamous Fanfic100:
Because, clearly, sanity is overrated. A hundred prompts and a hundred fics featuring none other than Fred and George Weasley, with a side of crazy OCs and FredxHermione for kicks. Check my progress on my LJ here. (Don't be fooled by the numbers ... I've done quite a few, I've just been too lazy to edit and post them.)

Seven Snogs Challenge:
Seven prompts equals seven kisses between Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin. What's this, I've got a new ship? Heck yes I do. I even attempted to be consistent with manga-verse canon, believe it or not. Check it out here. (Update: Now finished! :D)

For Want of an Ear, Harry Potter:
Combine George Weasley, Hermione Granger, and time-travel, and what do you get? George takes the outcome of Deathly Hallows into his own hands. And Hermione's along to make sure he doesn't blow up the universe in the process.

Shadows of Dawn, Naruto:
A crazy insane epic detailing the messed up lives of four OCs who just happen to be apprentices to the Akatsuki. :D I'm considering rewriting it soon to centralize the narration and focus more on Reinen's psychological issues, so stay tuned.

Double Trouble, Harry Potter:
Something of a subset of my Fanfic100 challenge, this is a collection of short stories under one title featuring my twin OCs Alex and Riley Hunter alongside the Weasley twins. A set of snapshots of Hogwarts life outside of Harry's circle with much pranks, weirdness, shifting alliances, and maybe-but-not-really-hints-of-subtext.

Hoshi no Hikari, Harry Potter/Bleach:
Starring Fred Weasley as a soul reaper! Unfortunately, I've lost almost all my inspiration for this fic and haven't had nearly enough time to work on it lately in between other projects and school. I'm hoping to still continue it someday when I renew my interest in the Bleach fandom.
