Hello, fellow HP shippers! After so many years of anonymously reading and reviewing your fanfics, it's great to finally think I've got the guts to join your ranks. I've been writing fiction for longer than I care to divulge and my passion for writing is over-shadowed only by my love of reading. The flame of that passion was really and truly fanned when I first read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I still remember standing in the aisle of the practically empty public library, the stale air moved by the passing elderly librarian and her bizarre brand of perfume, dust motes swirling like magic around me when I read that first line of the book I held in my smallish hands. From the first line, I was hooked and haven't looked back since. Even with the end of the written series, it still doesn't feel like it's over. I'm waiting for the last movie to press its fingers against the jugular of Harry Potter, shake its head sadly, and declare it dead. The end looms on the horizon and I admit that I don't know how the world plans to go on after it, but I'll face it anyway. Sort of like that nasty car accident you pass and can't help staring at while you drive by. Harry Potter has been a large part of my life and now that I'm climbing closer and closer to 30 (Merlin's pants, only four more years!!), I figure maybe it's okay to move on. -chuckles- Yeah, I'm a little obsessed, and isn't admitting it the first step to recovery?

Harry Potter fan fiction is the only fan fiction I read. The Internet has become my slice of indulgence, my little guilty pleasure, but that wouldn't be true if it weren't for all the amazing Internet fan fiction authors out there!

My favorite pairings involve Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, and Severus Snape. Any combination of those three and I'll be on that story like white on rice! But I do enjoy a decent Hermione/Severus every now and then. :) I like stories that stick to the true characteristics of each fictional person, but it's nice to pretend that maybe Snape and Harry have something going on. Woot!

I originally joined FanFictiondotnet to offer my services as a beta. I never thought I'd accidentally start writing a Harry/Draco (possibly HP/DM/SS) fan fiction of my own! As of today (12-21-2010), it's still a work in progress (WIP for those who haven't made that connection yet--took me long enough!), but I like where it's head and am still blown away and humbled by the numerous readers who've chosen to pause long enough to check it out. And I was shocked when I saw how many people had favorite-ed my story, even though it's path is unknown and it's not done! Thanks, all of you, for that breathless experience. :)
