![]() Author has written 23 stories for Baywatch, Blue Bloods, Flashpoint, Mentalist, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, Castle, Criminal Minds, Sherlock, and MacGyver. A DISABLED ENGINE LIES USELESS IN THE HANGAR. IT HAS NO CHOICE. A CRIPPLED PLANE MAY STILL LIMP INTO PORT, DOING ITS JOB AND BRINGING ITS CREW AND PASSENGERS SAFELY HOME. IT HAS A CHANCE. I'D RATHER BE CALLED CRIPPLED ANY DAY! I have multiple stories on the go at any one time. Even when I upload stories chapter by chapter, I will strive to only upload stories that I have completed (in my head or on my computer) because I hate getting really excited about a story only to find it abandoned =( My fanfics fall into one of three categories: CREATIONS change circumstances by asking “WHAT IF?” (What if A has a different job? What if B lives in the age of dinosaurs, in space, or both? What if C didn’t die?) or characters by asking “WHY SHOULDN’T THEY?” (Why shouldn’t ‘canon straight’ A be paired gay (or vice versa)? Why shouldn’t B be another gender/animal/ object? Why shouldn’t C be twenty years older, and a single parent with four kids? FIXES fill in plot holes by asking “HOW?” (How did A & B repair their friendship? How did C end up with their hand in a cast? How did D get a bald head?) and “WHY?” (Why did A get a promotion? Why did B appear pregnant for three episodes? Why did C suddenly leave the show without notice?) B.S. stories do not diverge from canon, but are set before series. PET PEEVE IN FANFICS My pet peeve in fanfic is PSPS – Protective Superior Person Syndrome. In PSPS, one person (usually older or in a higher professional position) is always the protector, saviour, corrector, coddler, and all-round Good Guy, the other person (usually younger or in an inferior professional position) is always hurt, weak, disabled, in trouble, or otherwise victimised, and the roles are never reversed. C’mon people! Just because a character is younger or less physically able, doesn’t mean they don’t have brains and skills! I deeply appreciate polite concrit reviews. I do ask, however, that you do not PM people who have reviewed me about their reviews. What they say is between me and them. nobody else! BLUE BLOODS There are a lot of conflicting dates and facts in the canon timeline, so I made my own. All my multi-chapter BB stories will follow this timeline. I will add to it as necessary. HENRY Born Henry Claude (1932) Served in Korea (1950-1951, age 18-19) Married Betty (1951, age 19) Father of Frank BETTY Wife of Henry. Died (1988) FRANK Born Francis Henry (1952) Served in Vietnam (1970, age 18) Married Mary (1971, age 19) Employed as Police Commissioner (2008, age 56) Father of Danny, Erin, Joe, and Jamie (Note: Frank's reasoning for the way he treats Danny and Jamie at work is that he can't show them any favouritism. Fair enough. But that line of reasoning would make a heck of a lot more sense if a) he didn't kiss and hug Erin every time they meet in a business setting (he wouldn't do that to any other ADA!), and b) there was a marked difference between the way he acted at work and at home. I can't see one. So I made one - you will (hopefully) notice that my stories have 2 distinct Franks - Commissioner Reagan and Family Man Frank.) MARY Wife of Frank. Diagnosed with cancer (1991) Died (2007) DANNY Born Daniel Claude (1972) Served in Iraq (1991, age 19) Married: Linda (1998, age 26) Father of Jack (2000) and Sean (2002) Employed in construction (1995-1999) Employed by NYPD as Detective, First Grade (2000-present) ERIN REAGAN-BOYLE Born Erin Mary Elizabeth (1974) Attended Law School (1993-1995) Married Jack Boyle (1997) Mother to Nicky Boyle (1998) Divorced Jack Boyle (2007) Employed as Assistant District Attorney (2009-present) JOE Born Joseph Conor (1978) Died (May 15, 2009, age 31) Was employed by NYPD at time of death JAMIE Born Jamison Clarence (1981) Attended Harvard Law / Harvard Kennedy Schools (2002-2005) Graduated Joint Degree JD-MPA/ID (2005) Attended and graduated Police Academy (2010) Employed by NYPD (2010-present) “JAMIE” SERIES In reading order: Jamie Needs A Holiday Danny’s List (can be read at any time after “Jamie Needs A Holiday”) Jamie Takes A Holiday (sequel to “Jamie Needs A Holiday”) In Blood Is Our Legacy (set after “Jamie Takes A Holiday”) The Price Of Cheese (sequel to “In Blood Is Our Legacy”) READ, REVIEW AND ENJOY! | |||||||
