Raven finds herself approximately 10 years into her future, while her future self is apparently living it up with her friends back in her own time. After several days living with her future partner, Raven finds the unfamiliarity unbearable and has a late night talk with him that will leave her questioning how she truly feels about his younger self. This story is about the developing relationship between Beast Boy and Raven. Told chiefly from Raven's point of view, it will also address her relationships with the other members of her team, as Raven strives to grow beyond her heritage and become a fully rounded human being. AU. Garfield Logan is traveling, having fled the bustling city of Los Angeles for the small town of Pascagola Mississippi. While walking downtown, looking for a movie, the blazing heat causes him to flee into the local library, a place he doesn't often visit. There he encounters a shy girl about his age, who might just change the direction of his life.

What thoughts go through a young woman's head on her wedding day? They are mixed between looking like an idiot because she forgot her lines and memories of how she came to be standing where she is on this day. For Raven, it's particularly complicated. Of all the paths she thought her life would take, becoming a wife, especially to this person, was the last thing she expected.

Raven and Beast Boy are handcuffed together; awkward moments arise, tension builds.
