Six months following the bittersweet conclusion of the Odyssey, Mario finds his life is oddly at peace. The Koopa Kingdom has been silent for six months with some hoping that Bowser is gone for good. Yet, an invitation to the Koopa Kingdom's capital sends Mario on a journey unlike any other he has been on before, especially as the familiar becomes unfamiliar to him.
