It's been three months when they haven't had to get drunk or make excuses to be together, they haven't lied to anyone to get time alone, and neither of them have been held hostage by any terrorists. The last one is the development they're the most pleased by, honestly.

All she wants is peace.

He can feel her whole body trembling, like it's physically exhausting for her to say these things and stand up at the same time. A trip down the rabbit hole to wonderland isn't complete without a little madness.

He kisses her again. How can she begrudge them both this moment of peace when she's 90% sure everything's about to go to hell?
