Author has written 2 stories for Artemis Fowl.

Facts about Klaxon which may or may not be true:

1) She's a she (oi - who isn't on ff?)

2) She lives in a city in a big country which could be underneath Russia if you tilt the globe in an unusual manner. I think...

3) She's obsessed with children's/teen's literature, and her collection of books has spilled over from her bookshelves and onto the floor.

4) She's obsessed with punk/post-punk/garage/indie bands.

5) She's obsessed with writing and may (one day) attempt to have a book published. But not yet.

6) She hates formal education because she believes it is used to indoctrinate the masses with whatever messages the government thinks the people should fill their receptive minds with. And it sucks dry every ounce of interest you may once have had for any particular subject.

(Note - it's letting me edit!!! Huzzah!)

I've Finished Reading:

Snakehead (the 7th Alex Rider book), by Anthony Horowitz.

VERDICT: It was good, but I felt he followed the spy formula too perfectly, and the villains are becoming repetitive - always some foreigner who has some kind of unhealthy fixation with the British. I mean, Horowitz might be a UK patriot, but not everybody in the world is as eager to be British as he seems to think.

Son of the Mob II - Gordon Korman

VERDICT: Good, but not as good as the first. When's there going to be a third, eh?

From Where I Stand - Tabitha Suzuma

VERDICT: Bloody brilliant. Very honest protrayal of mental illness, no teenage-y sap that glorifies depression.

Oh, and if you like Artemis Fowl, you'll probably like Evil Genius, by Catherine Jinks.

VERDICT: AWESOME. Super awesome. He gives Artemis Fowl a run for his money. I LOVE this book and I cannot wait for the second book to be released in Australia in March.

I'm now reading:

The Declaration - Gemma Malley (can never get enough of future dystopias. So far, I'm liking it, and I'm awfully particular)

Inkspell - Cornelia Funke (I read Inkheart a loooong time ago, but never got around to reading Inkspell till now)

The Named (Guardians of Time Trilogy) - Marianne Curley (I've already read it several times, along with the other two books, but it's spiffy, so what can I say.

Evil Genius - Catherine Jinks (I'm ALWAYS reading some of this book)
