Author has written 1 story for Rurouni Kenshin. Welcome to my profile page. Nice to have you.I guess I should give you a short run-down of myself, so here goes... Name: just call me Jess... FAVORITES ~Favorite Quotes: "Honest...I can do honest. I look around me. I describe what I see." "You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?" "I often quote myself. It adds spice to the conversation." Calvin: I obey the letter of the law, if not the spirit. Calvin: Graphic violence in the media. Does it glamorize violence? Sure. Does it desensitize us to violence? Of course. Does it help us to tolerate violence? You bet. Does it stunt our empathy for our fellow beings? Heck yes. Does it cause violence? Well, that’s hard to prove. The trick is to ask the right question. Calvin: Sometimes when I’m talking, my words can’t keep up with my thoughts. I wonder why we think faster than we can talk. A few of my favorite FFN authors... Kristen Elizabeth, KMF, Akai Kitsune, Coley Merrin, Crystaltear, the Black Rose, Chiki, Sekihara Tae, anna-neko, chibi-angel3, Saku-Yume, Midori Natari Himura, kiesmoon Those are just a few, but they're all awesome. You guys rock! A short run down of me... I'm a bit new to the fanfiction world and creative writing, but don't worry--I'm not a new writer period! It's just that I'm normally found writing essays, speeches, persuasive papers, and stuff like that. Factual work. Now I'm trying to break in my creative writing talent--or develop one, at least. My style of writing varies with my mood. I can feel poetic and flowery sometimes, and then I'll write metaphoric works full of symbolism. Other times I feel a bit more desolate and I'll explore darker psyches of the characters. Sometimes, I just feel like writing and whatever comes out, comes out. These sometimes end up using unnecessarily large words and detailed descriptions, but also can end up being pretty straightforward and plain. Then there are times when I feel extremely cynical and sarcastic--those works usually aren't published anywhere. They remain in my journals or on my computer. I'm open to criticism and helpful comments, but flames will be promptly ignored. I won't really get angry--I'll just click the delete button and send that review into oblivion. So flamers, just save your time and energy. If you really feel the need to flame me, though, just email me at whispering_dreams2004@yahoo.com. By the way, I absolutely love email. Whether you want to comment on my story or just have a conversation via the computer, send me a note. I'd love to hear from you. Don't worry about me not replying or anything--my mailbox isn't that swamped with fan letters. Yet. ^_^ (wishful thinking, I know, but can you blame me for hoping?) So...rock on. Read on. Review. Thanks! |
