When Jaune's forged transcripts were rebuffed, his only option was to return home in disgrace or forge a new life in Vale. Yang just wanted to be a better friend to Jaune and help cheer him up, but one thing led to another. That one night together was all it took for them to see a different side of each other. Sides seldom seen... but they're still just friends. Yang is definitely not noticing the dork more and Jaune is certainly not falling for another girl. It's just some clean release. Nothing more.
