A year since the unraveling secret of Miranda, the origin of the Reavers & the Alliance's involvement, things in the verse haven't seemed the same.

Malcolm Reynolds and his crew, still in mourn over those of their crew that have fallen, continue their lives aboard Serenity, continuing their odd jobs and running steps ahead of the Alliance. Alas, the Serenity gang just seems to continue to get into trouble. Mal & his crew soon find themselves in desperate need to dock for supplies near Persephone, where Mal meets a blast from his past ... back from the dead. An old flame of his, named Kaiya Jiang, seems to smack right back into his life. A woman born of both a caucasian father and an asian mother, she stands before Mal as an Ambassador for the Independents. The two old loves are in shock to find each other alive, when they presummed each other dead during the bombing in Serenity Valley. Mal finds his past catching up with him, and old feelings that never died resurfacing. If things weren't confusing enough, Wash's younger brother has found them, and persistently demands to take his older brother's place as pilot, to honor his brother's memory. The crew of Serenity slowly begin to see the mysterious past of their Captain and soon welcome an Ambassador aboard Serenity. Malcolm finds himself facing his heart head on as well as facing on the heaviest treading of the Alliance on his heels.

What troubles and jobs lay ahead of the Serenity crew? Can Zoe accept Wash's passing? What does Mal truly feel deep in his heart, with a love of his back from the dead & a Companion back in his life?

Behind the Writing:

In efforts to help aid the imaginative imagary of my readers whilst reading my fanfiction, I will be naming certain actors that I have visualized would play certain new characters that will be introduced in my fanfiction. This will help you picture that actor with the already familiar cast of Firefly. For example, I have always envisioned Neil Patrick Harris to play as Wash's younger brother, Joel Washburn. Now, as you read the next few chapters, when my original character Joel comes into play, you will already imagine Neil Patrick Harris as that character, and it should help make the story more believeable.

All other new introduced characters will be linked with an actor/actress I've envisioned for that role.
